Prior Engagement provides everything you need for a beautiful stay on The Point at Emerald Isle. A well stocked, nicely decorated home located very close to the beach access. Would love to stay here again!!

Our dog loved the rear yard and its many visitors, deer, squirrels and birds of all kinds. The kitchen is a little dated but very adequate. The house is situated in a great neighborhood and very close to the beach access which we really like. We found lots of activities that we gravitate to while on Emerald Isle. We also visited the refurbished Aquarium. All in all we enjoyed our stay at this quaint place on the Point end. This was a second visit and not the last.

House was perfect, and it was just a 3 minute walk to the beach! Nice fenced backyard for our fur baby, plus quiet and private. House was almost at the point and the beaches there were flat and beautiful.

We had a great stay at Prior Engagement! The house was clean and cozy and had everything we needed inside and outside. There are several grocery stores only a quick drive away and 2 different beach access points within a 3‐5 minute walk from the house. Check in/out instructions were simple and clear, and the host was very informative and communicative. Would definitely love to stay here again in the future!

This was the perfect spot for our family Everything you can think of for the beach was already here from transport buggies to beach toys and chairs to fully stocked ready to cook and eat kitchen Very comfortable beds with linemen’s and pillows. I really can’t say enough good things about it The beach is literally just around the corner and easily accessible to one of the best beaches on the planet ast coast There’s not near as many people here and it’s mostly families and a a very relaxed vibe We will definitely stay here again The owners are very responsive to any messages and very accommodating and friendly I highly recommend Prior Engagement as a destination at Emerald Isle God Blesd

We absolutely loved staying at Prior Engagement. The location of the house was perfect for us. The walk to the beach access was a reasonable distance. We loved the decks and the under the house sitting area. The hpuse was very nice and accommodating to our size family. We enjoyed being able to bring our dog to the beach for the first time and the fenced in back yard. I wanted to stay in a house near the point for the seclusion and the beach not being crowded on that end. I will say the walk from the beach access to the actual beach was a haul. It was long and up and down hills but that has nothing to do with the rental property. We will definitely stay at Prior Engaement again!!! Thank you so much Matt & Hilary for sharing your beautiful home with us!!!

Perfect beach house! Very short walk to the beach. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Nice fenced in back yard for the pup. Great hang out space under the house. Highly recommend!!

A gem at The Point - block from the beach

We loved our stay. The house is wonderfully cozy with a well stocked kitchen for family meals. The dogs appreciated the fenced-in yard. The property was well situated in a quiet neighborhood only a block from beach access. The Point is our favorite ocean getaway. Thanks for a great week!

Excellent property for the money. Close to beach, stocked with household items (toilet paper, paper towels, spices, etc), clean, owners nice and respond promptly, great outdoor space and worked well for our group of 6.

Great rental for family and dog

We had a very nice trip to Emerald Isle. Property is well maintained and great for our family of 4 and two friends. Location great at end of the island - very quiet. Perfect for our dog as well. Would highly recommend!

Our family visited Emerald Isle for my daughter's wedding May 2025. Excellent location. Detailed instructions were provided about house and location. House was clean and neat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Easter Beach Weekend

If you are looking for a great family getaway Prior Engagement is great and well stocked! Just grab your beach towels and go plenty of toys for the kids to play with as well. Just a short walk to the beach with the convenient cart, bikes and umbrella too!! We will be back
