This house certainly checked all the boxes. Nice home, good mountain views, easy access to shopping and restaurants, and a short (hr to 90 minutes) drive to many great destinations we've come to love on our annual end of summer trips to the mountains, like Twin Lakes (1 hr), Fairplay (South Park museum about an hour), Mt Evans (30 minutes to the road up to 14k), Loveland Pass (about 20 min), and Dillon Lake (5 minutes to the picnic area near the amphitheater and marina). These destinations include many other great hikes and sightseeing along the way, too numerous to mention. The house was roomy and could easily accommodate more than the five we had. It was well-equipped, there were plenty of bathrooms, the rooms and amenities were nice, and overall a very enjoyable experience. Two large living areas downstairs in case groups want to do two different things (or watch 2 different TVs). If you're in Colorado just to watch TV, there's something wrong, but in the evenings or on rainy days there are plenty of entertainment options in the house, including 4 TVs, and a foosball table, which my grandson loved. The view from the upstairs deck is wonderful, and with a table there, you can have lunches or dinners with a mountain view, weather permitting. Donna the owner was easy to work with on any and all details, including shipping my camera bag back to me (which I inadvertantly left after tucking it away to keep it from my 2 yr old grandson). She was quick to respond to any questions and very helpful. All in all, a great place to stay, and I can highly recommend.
