📝 A Few Things to Know Before You Arrive
We’re so happy to share this property with our guests. The Mavillette Beach Loft sits on our 5.5-acre property in a separate building from our family home, where we live quietly with our gentle beagle (she loves the sun and a good beach walk, and she never barks or howls).

Guest parking and the loft entrance are completely separate, and while you may occasionally see us tending the garden or walking the dog, we fully respect your space and privacy. We follow your lead when it comes to interaction—your time here is truly your own.

Please Note:
Access: The loft is up a full flight of stairs and may not be suitable for those with mobility concerns.

Safety: While there’s a large sliding glass door offering incredible views, there is no walk-out deck attached. It opens to a steep drop—please use with care.

Light Sensitivity: The main windows have blackout curtains, but some smaller ones have sheer coverings. Light-sensitive sleepers may want to bring an eye mask.

Coastal Conditions: Cape Saint Mary’s weather is famously changeable. You may experience misty mornings, sunny afternoons, or fog that lingers all day. On foggy nights, the soft hum of the lighthouse foghorn adds a unique maritime charm.

Cool Nights: Even in summer, evenings can be crisp. Pack a few layers so you can enjoy the fresh ocean air comfortably, whether you're enjoying a morning coffee or stargazing by the fire.
