Daybreak at The Dock House, 3-bedroom house located on beautiful Caddo Lake
Located on beautiful Caddo Lake in Mooringsport, Louisiana. The Dock House is a destination the whole family will enjoy. This lakefront property can sleep up to nine guests. Upstairs boasts an open concept kitchen and living space with two queen bedrooms and one full bath. Downstairs, there is a spacious king suite complete with a gaming area, ping pong table and adjacent bunkroom. The downstairs laundry and bathroom are equipped with all you need to make your stay comfortable. There is ample outdoor space for entertaining around the fire pit or catching the spectacular sunrises over the water on the elevated deck. Just steps away from the house, the dock on the inlet can be used to secure your boat or party barge, offering easy access for the boating or fishing enthusiasts. For an additional fee a boat slip in the boat house can also be rented. There is an adjacent bathhouse with his and hers restrooms and an additional shower. The spacious lawn has a large playground and plenty of room for yard games and parking. The Dock House also has ample areas for bank, dock and pier fishing. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, 2 televisions, board games, gas grill, stocked kitchen, coffee pots, ice machine, iron and more. Activities in the area are numerous. Caddo Lake is 25,400 acres bordering Louisiana and Texas with lots of history and the largest Cypress Tree Forest in world. Fishing is excellent, with numerous fishing guides available. Tours of the lake for history, wildlife and photo shoots are offered by numerous companies. The Dock House is located just off the main boat road A, providing easy and quick access to any portion of the lake. Just minutes away by boat from Earl G Williamson Park the primary launch site for most fishing tournaments in the area. Take a boat ride across the lake to the Big Cypress Bayou and experience Government Ditch while grabbing a bite to eat at one of the local eateries along the river. Come experience everything Caddo Lake has to offer at the Dock House.

The view !! The dock house was equipped with everything we needed. It was super clean and the host was responsive about any questions. Very comfortable long weekend at a great location right on caddo lake. Highly recommend !

The sunrise was beautiful, and the lake looked so pretty. The stairs were a bit much for my old legs, but the lodgings made it worthwhile. Super accommodations.

The view of this establishment is unparalleled. It was set up to accommodate all our needs, and the bedding provided a great night's sleep. Doug, the host, was very informative and friendly, sharing valuable insights about the lake and the surrounding area, making for an overall great experience.

We had a wonderful stay at the Dock House! The fishing was fantastic, and Doug was a gracious host. He even came out to the dock to make sure our fishing was successful! The kids had a blast roaming outdoors and enjoying the playground. We enjoyed the firepit and scenic views!

The host was the absolute best, i could not have asked for a better experience, i felt like family around them. The house was amazing everything was advertised. Being with in footsteps of the water was perfect. This was by far the absolute best experience i have ever had and we are planning on making this more than just an annual trip we will be going back soon to stay at this place. We enjoyed this very pleasant house with a magnificent view of Caddo Lake. It has everything you need to feel at home; well appointed and comfortable bedding. Little touches that are nice: coffee pods, sugar, water bottles, welcome booklet with explanations and advice, etc. One detail that is not one depending on the constraints of each: the ground floor and the first floor are not connected inside, you have to go through the stairs outside.

Good place to stay, great fishing spot and clean. Would definitely recommend or come back.

What a local treasure with the most beautiful views of Caddo Lake, our photos of the sunrises and sunsets just don't do it justice! The dock was a prime fishing spot where we caught both bass and catfish. We enjoyed the morning and evening visits from the Canada Geese and the Egrets. We had great fun as a family on the baskeball court, while our grandaughter enjoyed the swings. There were also several fierce games of monopoly and ping pong on the day it rained. Mr. and Mrs. Gaines were very welcoming and it was a pleasure to meet them both. We've booked many places where you never meet or communicate with the host beyond messaging. It was very comforting and pleasing to know that they were available for anything we needed. We highly recommend this beautiful, peaceful slice of Heavan on Caddo Lake.
