We had a nice time, the house was clean and well-stocked with basics like toilet paper, trash bags, and shampoo/conditioner. That said, the description is not entirely accurate. The house is smaller than pictured, and with 6 adults and 1 child, there wasn’t enough seating for meals or lounging. The basement rec area is not spacious. It had only one chair, and the ping pong table filled the room, making TV viewing impossible. The main living area offered one small couch and four small uncomfortable chairs. The lake view was beautiful, but this end is marshy, shallow, and rocky, unsuitable for swimming and difficult for kayaking, no ladder or step down from the dock and only slippery rocks to launch from. Wi-Fi did not work so we couldn’t use the smart TVs, and the host was slow to respond (two days later about the Wi-Fi/TV issues, we were only there for a long weekend). A hairdryer was listed but missing, and cooking was tricky with just two tiny pans (though many pots and baking dishes). Location was okay, quiet, scenic, and about 15 minutes to Narragansett beaches, but not walkable to shops or restaurants. It was, however, very convenient to URI (10 minutes), which helped with moving our son into college. The view from both decks is obstructed by trees so you can't really see the lake from the house. Expansive is not how I would describe the desk either. Nothing was a dealbreaker, but the description should be more accurate so guests have a clearer idea of what to expect.
