This Cottage flat is in an antique Palazzo has just been refurbished whit frescoes on walls. View over garden, full of light and silence. It has all the amenities, international TV, internet ,washing machine,dishwasher,full equipped kitchen. Doorman for any help you migt need.You have to walk up 19 steps to get to the cottage. Few mins walk to Ponte vecchio and to the Duomo. Restaurants, artisans, green market ,groceries very
close. Extremely well kept and clean.
Payment method:

Incredible location

Wonderful stay, so close to the action but so quiet and secluded. Very responsive and incredibly helpful with our needs while visiting. Would definitely go back again!!

Florence Hideaway

The property is lovely and very well supplied. The setting in an inner courtyard is lovely and quiet, and we enjoyed the ability to park our rental car onsite. The location in the Oltrarno is wonderful - with great shops and restaurants in almost every block, and yet only a 15 minute walk to the Uffizzi Gallery across the Arno. We very much enjoyed our stay!

fabulous location, beautiful space!

We loved staying here.. close to everything we wanted to do.. it was a little dark.. so more light would help... I was caught off guard by the bedroom with the single bed had a private bath.. and the two bedrooms with double beds shared a bathroom.. but othewise this place was fantastic. We definitely recommend it and stay there again.

Charming apartment

We loved this charming place in one of the charming neighborhoods in Florence. Its proximity to restaurants and all the attractions is fantastic. Very safe too. Loved it.

Excellent location and stay

Really enjoyed this home. It’s in a perfect location. We were all attacked by mosquitos on the first night but it was addressed quickly by the owner. Otherwise, it was a great stay and we would happily return.

A lovely stay in Oltrarno

We stayed in the carriage house at this lovely old villa on our three day stop in Florence. The check-in was easy and flexible - our train was delayed but coordination was easy with the host. Our unit was nicely appointed and clean, and the location was wonderful - close enough to the major sites on the other side of the Arno but not in the thick of things. Highly recommended!

Good stay

The apartment is as advertised. Checking in was a bit difficult because the host was not as responsive as others on VRBO. The caretaker of the property was fabulous and very attentive. It seems like this place is mostly a summer rental. We were there in the winter and the first night was very very cold - almost not bare able. We had to complain the next day and they

Walk about Florence

The apartment is in a great location and close to many restaurants and shops. It has a great feel of Italy and it is so nice to relax there after a long day of sightseeing. The set up is very unique and offers privacy to the guests. We will definitely rent again if we go back to Florence.

Great Location

As stated in prior reviews, this is a very nice, roomy and well maintained historic property in a great location. It was a very easy walk to all we wanted to do during our 1 week, late May stay. The property manager was onsite during business hours and quickly responsive to any requests for assistance. We recommend this flat to others.

Celebrating the New Year in Florence!

This is such a true representation of Florence, stay here to feel like you are a part of the city. Not just in a nice hotel. Very comfortable, has everything you need. Such history. Would highly recommend! An extra set of keys would be helpful if two couples are staying but otherwise a super place!!!

Great location and retreat from crowds

Clean, quiet, nice living room area. Comfortable beds, good reading lights, lots of storage. All the basics needed are there but no extras (BYO shampoo, dish cloth, etc). We were there for a week with 4 adults, so an extra key and extra towels would have been awesome. Otherwise grateful for such a comfortable well located space.

Great location and soacious

Five of us stayed here - all over 70. Location was great, spacious apartment. But a few little things were off. Drains in showers were slow. Some lighting flickered and was pretty dim. Kitchen was not stocked - I know that’s an extra but we’d just come from Venice where our apartment had everything we needed. I feel I’m being overly critical, because we would stay here again. The place just needs a little more TLC and oversight. One extra thing - the second bath was off the single bed bedroom so it was hard for the other 4 people to use. Overall the apartment was good ++ and we would stay again.

Beautiful Apartment on the other side of the Arno

We really appreciated staying on the other side of the Arno. We tend to enjoy a little peace and quiet and so this apartment was absolutely perfect. We felt as close to the Boboli Gardens as were were to the Uffizi. The other side of the Arno is low key, filled with locals, and comfortable. The highlight of the apartment was when the courtyard was filled with beautiful classical music one morning and floated in through the window (soft enough not to bother anyone who didn't want to listen, but audible enough for any lover a music to be delighted)--it was absolutely enchanting. I highly recommend this lovely apartment.

Our family of five stayed here for 4 nights in July. This was a fabulous location to explore Florence from. We enjoyed being on the Oltrarno side of the city. It was quiet, away from the crowds and there were many great dining, gelato, bakery options very very close. Our teens loved the huge palace doors and gravel courtyard entrance to the cottage. It felt really special to have this cottage tucked away off the road. It was clean and well suited for an extended stay. Bathrooms are small by American standards but they were clean, showers had hot water and great water pressure as long as you did just one shower at a time. It was really nice being able to do laundry during our trip as well. We felt very safe and comfortable. Would certainly recommend and would be happy to stay here again!

Palace Living

This palace built in 1444 was surreal to live in during our stay in Florence. The neighborhood of Oltrarno is a perfect location as is the apartment. Great ristorantes, marketing and shops right outside the door. White, crisp bed linens. Beds were comfortable. AC worked as needed. Added benefit is the brand new washing machine. Three star on cleanliness- needs a through cleaning to include a good dusting of light fixtures. My bathroom had chunks of gunk left on the floor from sweeping. A second set of towels would be good for longer stays such as ours. The doorman was welcoming and helpful. Parking our car in the courtyard was perfect. Taxi service was quick. I would stay here again.

Charming location in Florence

This was such a great place to make our home for 7 weeks in the fall. We were 2 but having the extra rooms was great for office space and the occasional guest that came for a visit. The location is perfect for exploring Florence - walking and biking made everything easily accessible. Any questions or issues we had were promptly handled by Mario (one of us speaks Italian which made it especially easy!). There are an abundance of restaurants and grocers and butchers in the area. Being in a courtyard means there is less traffic noise, there are big windows that open up for the summer breezes and trees in the courtyard which is very special in a city like Florence. Perfect base for exploring Florence!

Great florentine cottage

Great location in a safe, clean area of Florence where the locals live. Patricia was very flexible with the check-in/check-out process, and there is a concierge available for any questions. The cottage is above what is now a private garage within the courtyard. Great bedrooms and amenities, small kitchen with no microwave and most of the things you need. Suggestion: put trash bags in the trashcans supposed to be separated for garbage, compost, and bathrooms for easier disposal! We had to use grocery store bags.

Apartment is beautiful in a great neighborhood just south of the River. Great 3 bedroom 2 bath with kitchen and washer. Great neighborhood with shops/restaurants/groceries. Felt safe. Affordable compared to the very expensive hotels in the historic district across the river. Cons: One set of 3 keys for 3 doors - so have to coordinate with roommates if go separate ways. No "dryer" by American standards --only a drying rack---and Florence is humid---so takes couple days for clothes to dry. (one roommie lost luggage so washer was used extensively.). Could have used more: toilet paper/paper towels/tissues.

Great Stay in Florence!

The apartment was beautiful and spacious. We cooked in the kitchen and had all that we needed to make a meal. The location was fantastic and within walking distance of so many attractions. We enjoyed hearing church bells all day long. The wifi worked well. There was confusion around the fact we needed a special permit for driving our car into the ZTL zone and had to obtain that at the time of our car rental at FCO airport. Thank goodness the car rental people helped us with that! Also, there was confusion around getting initially into the the courtyard to park. We needed to call the person meeting us before arriving so he could open the doors on the street. We ended up circling a few blocks a couple of times before we could contact him. Afterward, to park the car, we devised a plan where one person stopped traffic in the very small street, another opened the doors and the driver pulled forward, backed into the cross street and then we could enter the courtyard. Dealing with the car was difficult but great for side trips to Rome and Deruta! I would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful haven

Living/dining area is perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Very peaceful - the only sounds being the birdsong in the courtyard. Beds were very comfortable. We all slept well and appreciated the aircon as it was very hot whilst we were there (30 degrees plus). The sleeping arrangements are: single bedroom with en suite bathroom adjacent to living/dining area, then a few steps up from living room to the two double bedrooms which share a bathroom. The only real letdown for the five of us was that it wasn't possible to cook as there are no pots or pans (other than a small pot only large enough to boil eggs). It would be helpful to have instructions on how to get in and out through the gates when the concierge is not around. We had some difficulty working out how to unlock the gates on our first evening when we went out. Luckily we were able to attract the attention of a helpful neighbour!
