Cute country cottage for getaway stay

Resting by open fields, this lovely guest cottage is the perfect place for a getaway stay. Beautifully appointed with classic architecture and lots of light, it has one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, one full bath, a sitting and dining area, and a kitchenette. A couch in the living area is long enough for another sleeping location. The cottage is located fifteen minutes from downtown New Haven, Connecticut. There is a public walking trail across the street, winding around open fields and by a community garden.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay in such pleasant surroundings. The convenient trail nearby was such a nice bonus to. We’ve found the perfect place to stay when visiting our daughter and family nearby.

Nestled in a bucolic farm area setting with adjacent serene walking trail this beautifully maintained country cottage is simply perfect. The owners have excelled in every area — room sizes, finish materials, furnishings and decor. The kitchen is minimal, though nicely appointed and sufficient for breakfast or light meals. We look forward to staying there again when in the area.

Sharon was great! Proactive in reaching out to us and clear in her communication. The property is gorgeous, well maintained and very clean. It is a peaceful cottage type, with lots of cozy touches. You can tell there is pride in the property and the grounds. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area.

We had a great stay at the little cottage. Quiet, safe and clean. Great shower. Good sleep. I loved the walking trail across the road. Really convenient to get to New Haven and Stop &Shop close by.

Cosy Cottage is an apt description for this magical place. Exquisitely designed and expertly constructed it has a beauty not found in any mere hotel room. In a charming minimalist way it provides everything a romantic couple needs for a special getaway. Tastefully decorated with contemporary features like towels and bedding combined with antique furniture and decorative accent objects. Its versatility is designed into surprising details like the disappearing TV and camouflaged refrigerator, allowing you to adapt your surroundings to suit your mood. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Kind in every way. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit as we explored the southern Conn. area.We highly recommend you come and see this wonderful property for yourself.

We were just so enamored of this lovely cottage. The photos really don't do it justice. The views are stunning. The cottage is immaculate and homey. The bed and couch were very comfortable and we both loved the shower. (I took photos of the beautiful bathroom tiles, so I can remember them when we do our own house renovation). We were having a getaway weekend for our anniversary, but this would also be a great spot for a quiet writer's or artist's retreat. There was lots of choices for dining nearby and we did some hiking nearby to Judge's cave. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it highly.

We had a wonderful time. The cottage is located just outside the hustle and bustle of city life. There is a nice walking trail just across the street. Our host was excellent with how everything operated in the cottage and giving recommendations on where to dine. It really felt like home and loved using the french press for our morning brew! Definitely would stay again!

Place was cozy, perfect getaway!! Shower amazing. Utilized blankets to sit and watch the snow fall!Definitely would have enjoyed a newer bed, but no other complaints and will definitely be back.Host was wonderful with questions, very responsive.
