Our boutique retreat Points & Pines Hideaway is the ideal mountain getaway for a solo traveler, couple, adventure seekers, and dog people to relax/celebrate a special occasion.

★Blend cozy indoor activities at the cabin with outdoor adventure in and around Bailey, CO. ★ With Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater only 45 minutes away, our cabin is uniquely positioned to offer year-round access to amazing hikes and musical acts in and around the iconic venue. ★ Explore local festivals, the Georgetown Loop train, our infamous hiking trails that are a gateway to the Pike National Forest -- before returning to the cabin for a soak in the hot tub, enjoying the view and putting together a Sasquatch-themed puzzle.
OVERVIEW Points and Pines Hideaway is a cozy mountain retreat nestled in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Bailey, Colorado. Bailey is the quieter, more rugged alternative to the I-70 corridor. A 660 square foot cabin, PPH is an affordable option for travelers without sacrificing style and charm. Think "boutique hotel suite in the woods," complete with hot tub, views, and a charming escape vibe.
WHAT’S UNIQUE A tribute to the wildlife that inhabit the area, (there is a resident moose that often wanders through!) and the pine and aspen grove it sits in, this property was updated in 2025 as an ode to adventure. Located at the edge of the Pike National Forest, the owner designed the home with the spirit of bringing the outdoors in. (The vibe is similar to her other property called Wild Hearts Hollow, located in Paso Robles, CA.)
It's one bed (California King), one bath cabin with a pull out sofa/oversized Double that sleeps up to 4 people. South-facing views on a brand new 40 foot deck and floor-to-ceiling windows are unparalleled in this corner of the world. The hot tub on the deck has 270-degree views that include Regal Lake to the east and the National Forest to the southwest. It has a side yard and is dog friendly. If you’re looking for a quiet basecamp in the mountains that’s close to year-round activities, this place is worth checking out.
GUEST-FIRST DESIGN As well-seasoned travelers, we know what our guests like to see in their accommodations. For example, we offer outlets where you want them (next to each side of the bed, both USB and traditional outlets), luggage racks so you don't have to fully unpack, dog toys, poop bags, food and water bowls, and a bed for our furry friends, and more. As hosts, we believe our guests should be comfortable and worry-free while experiencing the quiet pleasures and peace that the woods offer.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Bailey’s central location at the edge of the Pike National Forest offers an ideal basecamp for folks looking to explore the great outdoors and engage in various activities:
Staunton State Park: Just a short drive from town, this is one of Colorado's newest and most beautiful state parks. It offers an extensive network of trails for hiking, rock climbing, and horseback riding, with stunning views of granite rock formations and cascading waterfalls. This is a must-visit for any nature lover.
McGraw Memorial Park: Step back in time at this historic park, which features preserved buildings from the town's pioneer days, including an 1864 way station and a one-room schoolhouse. It's a great spot for a picnic and a walk along the river.
Lost Creek Wilderness: A vast and rugged area known for its unique granite rock formations and pristine hiking trails. The Goose Creek Trail is a popular option for its scenic views and geological wonders.
Scenic Drives: Take a drive on the Guanella Pass or Kenosha Pass to experience some of Colorado's most beautiful mountain scenery, especially in the fall when the aspen trees change color.
Other points of interest to note: *15 minutes to Deer Creek Trailhead, gateway to Mt Evans Wilderness and dog-friendly *20 minutes to Deer Creek Valley Ranch wedding venue on 285 *40 minutes to Evergreen *45 minutes to Red Rocks Amphitheatre *1 hour to downtown Denver *1.5 hours to Denver Int’l Airport *1.5 hours to Breckinridge - opposite of the normal traffic patterns! *2 hours to Crested Butte *2 hours to Aspen
The cabin is located at 9,000 feet elevation. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated!

OUTDOOR SET-UP The 40 foot deck has great views ideal for a relaxing afternoon. Watch the sunset from a seating area overlooking mountains. Star gaze using your favorite app. The neighborhood consists of similar mountain cabin style homes. You feel secluded but are also amongst company, though you will find there are more animals than humans.
The Soaking Point, our secluded hot tub, has 270 degree views of Regal Lake and the surrounding mountains. Due to unpredictable winds, the hot tub cover must remain closed when not in use for safety and to prevent the water from spilling.
You will see many ranches in this community and wandering wildlife. This home represents true mountain living.

WINTER CONDITIONS The weather up here can change very quickly. We do require guests to have a 4WD or AWD vehicle that can react to weather elements like snow and rain. Snow tires or chains are required by the state during blizzard conditions. All roads leading up to the cabin are paved and maintained by Park County, with the exception of the last 0.4 miles. This road and the cabin are south-facing, which means the snow here is the first to melt when the sun comes out. We do our best to keep our driveway clear of snow and enlist the help of a local snow plower, but it’s not always possible given the remote location. We do not provide refunds due to weather and/or driving conditions. Light shoveling of the path leading from the driveway to the front of the home may be needed by our guests during winter months. We store a shovel and ice scraper inside the utility room for this purpose.
