Country Woods Escape on 4 Acres - Your Home Away From Home! 7 min to Dunes!

This farmhouse has been in our family since 1947 when our grandfather built it for his wife and 3 daughters. It has been lovingly restored in 2025 as both a vacation home for us and you as our guests! The main floor boasts a large open concept living/dining/kitchen with dining for 11 (at 2 tables) a queen-size bedroom with a closet, and a full bath with 52" bathtub. There is a large mudroom in the rear porch for your beach gear and coolers, or to keep your shoes and coats after exploring the property. Upstairs, you will find a full bath and sleeping areas for 7. The West bedroom has a desk space, a closet, and a king bed. The East bedroom is a tandem bedroom. There is a queen and one twin in the main room and 2 twins in the dormer attic. Kids love this space! We do offer the home to a max of 7 adults. The front deck is a beautiful spot to enjoy your morning coffee or a cocktail at the end of the day. There are 3 white rockers, a 2 top table as well as a sofa set that seats 5. In the rear, you'll find a fire pit and a wagon for transporting wood, a large picnic table with an umbrella, and a children's zip line. We have over 4 acres of open, walkable property. There is a basketball hoop on the East line of the property and a Volleyball net in the field on the West. In the mudroom, you will find all the sports equipment you need for a quick baseball game, or life-size Connect 4! We have also added a flat top grill!m - the home has a K-cup Keurig machine, a traditional coffee pot as well as a French press. Don’t forget to pack your favorite coffee 😀 Please note the basement, garage and red barn are not accessible for your stay. CWE is a septic and well water property that is triple filtered and softened. Please visit house rules for more info!

Our stay was awesome! The house was really cute and extremely clean and communicating with Laura was a breeze. Would highly recommend staying there if you’re in the area.

The house and surrounding property are adorable and neat as a pin. The kitchen was spacious and thoughtfully stocked with items. Beds were comfy, everything super clean. Host extremely responsive. Do not hesitate to book.

This was the perfect home for our family of six to stay. It was very clean and well kept. The host was easy to communicate with and cared that our experience was a good one. We took this trip to visit the Indiana dunes national Park and this was a great location to be close to food as well as the park and the visitor center. (I do suggest you bring bug spray. It is a must at the home and the national park) :)Would choose again!Blessings

Super clean and very cozy. All the details were thought of. This is a house where the owner takes pride in ensuring the atmosphere is set up for enjoyment. Quick 10 minute drive to restaurants and grocery stores.

Best air b&b ever! It was fully stocked of things that we May have forgotten like s’mores ingredients and marshmallow roasting sticks. Lots of yard games to keep the kids busy. The house was very clean and comfortable and the host was easy to get a hold of if we needed something. We really enjoyed our stay!

The home had a nice, large property that provided some seclusion yet an easy drive to the lake and conveniences in town. The home was well equipped and clean. Laura was easy to work with.
