Welcome to our new & owner built home & cottage. Hale Nalu is set just back from Yachats Ocean Road in Yachats, Oregon and the sea can be viewed from the living room and deck. This property features 2 cozy bedrooms with a king bed and two twin beds (can be made into a second King with advance notice), perfect for a small group. It is attached by an open breezeway to the main house which is owner & Vizsla occupied. The cottage has it's own private entrance, parking and deck. The ocean is just 70 yards away and we are situated along the Yachats Ocean Rd State Natural Site. Feel free to reach out to us during your stay - we're happy to suggest local spots to check out. We leave guests to their own adventures unless you would like our input or assistance.

Hale Nalu is a gem. From fine construction to tasteful appointments that are fun and comfortable. We were two adults but it is a great home for a family of four. Tons of amenities - has every thing and more you need for cooking and fine dining. The house is close to all outdoor activities (trails for hiking, tidepools, beaches, etc) and great restaurants. We will rent again.

This guest house is so beautiful inside and out! Hosts Kalona and Terry were very communicative, helpful and generous with recommendations. We felt so welcomed. The furnishings and finishes were all top notch and every little detail was well thought out. The wind and waves were pretty feisty the first day so we were happy to have such a comfortable and cozy place to land. And when the sun came out, the ocean was right outside our door and there was a great beach a few minutes walk down the street. We saw loads of birds and a few harbor seals there. We walked into town for dinners and there were so many great trails and beaches just a short drive away. This is the place you want to stay on the Oregon coast!!!

Such an amazing place! So grateful for all the thoughtfulness put into this beautiful home. We found three different ocean views from the house and deck, so even though its not on the water, theres a wonderful connection to the waves and lovely ocean air every minute. The linens are beautiful , the kitchen is great to cook in, and the bathroom and shower look like they were installed yesterday. So nicely appointed we can t recommend it enough. We parked the car and walked to town amd hiked the 804 and up the beach toward Waldsport and back. Also hiked the Cape Perpetua trails via the coastal trail and took the free trolley back from the Visitors Center. It runs Thursday-Sunday and has a stop on Yachats Ocean Road which is perfect! So grateful for our time at this special place and cant wait to come back.

After spending time in a variety of Oregon communities, we have settled on the beautiful coast and have spent the past 2 years building our own house here in Yachats. We have wrestled beams, walls, windows and all the details into place and now look forward to sharing a piece of our home.
