Welcome to The Mockingbird - your cozy retreat in the peaceful Water’s Edge community of Tracy City, TN, just minutes from Monteagle and Sewanee. Perfectly tucked into the South Cumberland Plateau, this area offers the best of both worlds: endless outdoor adventure and small-town charm with great restaurants and unique shopping nearby.

Take a short hike to Deer Lick Falls, a private 80-foot waterfall just 10 minutes down the road (exclusive to guests), or explore the beautiful grounds of The University of the South. Golf lovers will find epic rounds waiting at Sweetens Cove, The Course at Sewanee, and Bear Trace at Tims Ford.

Cute tiny home! We've been wanting to stay at the Retreat at Water's Edge for a while, and finally found time to go- it did not disappoint! The community is nice with walking trails, docks, and firepits. The home had GREAT water pressure and ample hot water, which was a huge plus. The space is well-appointed and has all the things you need while traveling. Being able to bring our furry friends is a huge plus for us. Host was easy to work with, and very responsive. We will stay again!

This was a perfect weekend getaway in nature. If you’re wanting a dog friendly tiny home that’s modern and efficient, in a community where you don’t feel isolated yet you still have your own space, and has tons of trails and hiking and waterfalls nearby, this is your spot. Beautiful scenic setting and i think every home had their own outdoor fire pit. The posted maps of the community on signs were a little confusing. I wish we would’ve taken a photo of the map at one of the posted signs upon arrival, bc there was no pamphlets or copies of the map of the grounds inside the cabin home. We had trouble finding the “kayak rental station”. And didn’t see much info on how to rent a kayak or the operating hours, prices, phone number to call for it etc in the booking description. Also, note that the “community pool” as displayed on the property posted maps doesn’t exist- at least not yet. I believe this community is relatively new. Overall it’s really nice and has 2 public docks to fish, a community covered pavilion, and a community playground and a trail that encircles the property. The cabin itself was pretty clean on the inside- the things that matter most like the shower, sheets, and towels appeared spotless which is a huge plus. One of the metal loops holding one of the cables of the outside fence appeared to be rusted/broken and would've been dangerous if we had little kids or something the way it was lying on the deck by the patio table. Overall, definitely would book again!!

Water's Edge is a super fun lake community. The lake is a short 7-minute walk from our tiny homes. Rent kayaks, go fishing, or just sit on the dock and stare at the glassy water! My wife and I love taking overnight dates at the tiny homes, and we also host friends on "boys golf trips" or "girlfriend getaways."

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

The location of our tiny homes is great. We are very close to the entrance of the community, and we're tucked away on a side street that only has two homes on it, which means cars aren't driving by us all day. It's great!
