The Perfect Country Getaway

Dorloo Country escape features 3 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full, 2 twin beds) as well as a 4th room with a sofa bed. The house has 1 1/2 baths, a full kitchen, dining area and cozy living room with gas fireplace. The majestic country setting has mountain views and plenty of privacy. We have an outdoor fire pit and provide all of the wood! This rental is an addition on the property's main house, but offers all the privacy of a separate home, including private entrance, patio, and yard. The house sits on 2 acres, but is surrounded by 150 acres of land (sorry no hunting). A perfect getaway for families or friends! Dorloo is located about 25 minutes from Cooperstown (23 miles or about 33 minutes from Cooperstown Dreams Park), 10 minutes from Sharon Springs, 15 minutes from Cobleskill, and 1 hr 15 mins from Saratoga Springs!

The best vacation

Our family came for a week of baseball in Cooperstown. The views here are amazing. My kids had their own space to relax while also enjoying visiting the animals. Would love to visit again.

The perfect location and cottage for a visit to the Sharon Springs region. Our host could not have been more welcoming and the country side there is beautiful and peaceful.

Debra was an excellent hostess. Her and her family live in the main house. She quickly replied to all inquiries. The house is on a quite farm setting about 32 mins from Cooperstown Dream Park with no traffic either way. If you have more than 2 hours between games and want to escape the crowds you can. Do fill up on gas and food because there is a drive to both gas and the store. If you are into homemade soaps, please ask the hostess about them. Her mother makes and sells several different varieties. The only issues we had with the house were the dishwasher and the lock on the kitchen door. Neither was a real issue for the week since we washed dishes as we went and only had one meal at the house each day. The house is in the country so no security issue with the back door not being able to lock. There were flies, but you are next to a working farm so that is to be expected The house could also work for All-Star Village with the same 35 min trip away.The house is what you would expect for the cost given the crowds and lack of hotels near both Dream Park and All-Star Village.
