This was a terrific rental. My wife and I loved staying here, the property was clean and nicely decorated.Until we got there, we didn't realize there was no A/C, but despite being August in the high desert, we were able to open the windows at night to let in the cool air then close them up in the morning to keep it and cool. We'd love to come and stay again

The Basecamp was great - I highly recommend. Rebekah was easy to work with, the place is lovely and the hot tub under the stars was just what we were looking for.

Host and cabin was great. We had all the accomidations we needed to have a great stay. The view of the mountains from the hot tub was supurb. Only critique was the bed was a little firm for my taste, but that's just personal preference. I still slept like a tank after hiking all the trails.

The place was amazing. Everything we needed for cooking dinner and lounging around. The hot tub was the deal breaker for the area. We sat in the hot tub and got to see a solar flare and many shooting stars in the super quiet and dark sky! This was a perfect place to see the Great Sand Dune National Park.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. It’s super secluded and great for folks wanting to hit the Sand Dunes or have a few nights away where you can stargaze.The property was well stocked with kitchen supplies, which was a nice touch given how secluded it is — great to have everything you need for cooking and meals. Having full laundry access was a big plus too. The beds were comfortable if you like a firmer mattress.A few things to know before you go: there’s no AC, so bring your own fan if you want one (there are a couple in the bedrooms, but more would help). Nights stay cool in summer, but days can get quite hot. There are also loose dogs next door, so keep that in mind if you have a reactive dog, and watch your step in the backyard — there’s a fair amount of dog poop back there.Overall, a great property, and we’d recommend it.

A very relaxing place to stay. The ability to open so many windows and doors to let the breeze through the house was awesome! The hot tub has a great view of Crestone Peak. The sun sets were wonderful to watch from the front porch. This place has most everything you could need when it comes to cookware, silverware, cups, and other kitchen items. I’m a fan sleeper and each bedroom had a fan. The host has done a great job to make it feel like you’re stepping into a home. There is little service in the area(place has good wifi) but getting to the place is somewhat a maze. I would download the map for most of the valley so you won’t have to wait for service for directions. Prepare to drive at least an hour to get to most attractions. Gatorland was within an hour and very cool. Overall this place was amazing and hard to leave. It is very peaceful, quiet, and filled with sounds of wildlife. The stars were very bright at night and you can watch the sun set on the far end of the valley. Highly recommend!
