This spacious, quiet, bright second floor condo has high vaulted ceilings and a large living/dining area that creates a large, bright, and airy feel. Sunlight streams in through the sliding glass doors in the mornings, and you can leave the screens open to enjoy the tropical breeze (though we do provide AC as well for those very hot days!).

Enjoy your morning coffee on the beautiful lanai overlooking the tropical canyon consisting of palm trees (one of which my grandfather planted!) and flowers, all the while listening to the song birds. Then head off for a day at the nearby beach with provided beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and snorkel gear.

The award winning Grand Champions has 2 pools, poolside barbeques, Jacuzzis, as well as tennis and golf adjacent to the complex. Within a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive you can be strolling 3 1/2 miles of beaches, swimming, snorkeling, or visiting shops and dining in fine restaurants. Nearby four and five star hotels offer boat rentals and other services as well.

We hope you will come and enjoy the tranquility of both Wailea and the Grand Champions.

Do note that this unit shares a wall and a locked door with the adjoining unit, much like hotel room suites. We do own the other unit as well and we do our best to ensure our guests are respectful of the fact there is a shared wall.

Beautiful Getaway

Rachel's place was a beautiful location for our stay. Short walking distance to many great restaurants and the beach. The home was clean, comfortable, and had everying we needed. I would definitely stay again.

Nice condo in Wailea

We absolutely loved our two week stay. We have stayed in this particular condo complex several times before and love it every time! It's the only place we will stay when visiting Maui. The condo had everything you need to cook a meal, wash and dry clothes, and visit the beach. Rachel was amazing to work with and allowed us an early check-in and later check-out time. We will definitely stay here again.

Great stay in Paradise

This is a great place to stay in Maui. 5 min drive away from the hustle and bustle of South Kihei drive, in a nice quiet area in Wailea. Condo is very clean and has everything you need.

Almost everything you could ask for.

It was a fantastic week-long stay in this Wailea condo. It offers pretty much everything you could need, with a full kitchen, and all the beach equipment you could possibly need. The only small criticism I have, and it’s quite nitpicky, is that all the pillows are very flat and don’t offer any support, so they’re not great for a side sleeper, but otherwise it’s a perfect spot for a relaxing break.

Lovely!

Had a great stay here. It was one of many stays for us at the Grand Champions complex which is nicely situated right in Wailea. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai and listening to the nature sounds and being in close proximity to the shops at Wailea and the Wailea Beach Path. The ceilings were high and the condo felt very roomy. Full sized appliances. Beach gear/snorkels/boogie boards provided. My only feedback is to PLEASE get a new mattress. The mattress is horribly unsupportive and you sink right into it but not in a good way. We woke up each morning with a sore back. With a new mattress, this would be the perfect stay.

Great location and great communication

Frequent visitor to Maui and love staying in this area of Maui. I have stayed at the Grand Champions Wailea before. Appreciated that I was able to get permission to check in early.

Great location!

Rachel's condo is a fantastic home base for a fantastic Maui vacation. Highlights include: - having our breakfast out on the very private deck, listening to the birds chirping. - all of the "extras" included, which allowed for fantastic beach outings (cooler, beach chairs, towels, snorkelling gear...) - Within 5-10 minutes of some of the best beaches in Maui (Ulua, Wailea, Makena Landing) - Very quite and nice neighbourhood

Fantastic location, clean, convenient

Great location within walking distance to premier shopping, golf, restaurants, etc. Unit 10b was nice, clean, and conveniently close to parking lot, pool, etc. Only small issue with unit was a “thin” wall (ie could hear neighbors) with adjoining unit, and a shared deck. Overall, a recommended location!

Nightly Rate Reflects Interior of Condo

The units location is great being in Wailea. Very easy walk to the shops at Wailea and to the beach. The unit had beach towels, chairs, and sun umbrella which was really nice. The owners were very good at getting back to us on a few things which was appreciated. This unit is a lower priced unit as compared to other condos in Wailea. However, remember you get what you pay for. Overall the condo was clean. The furniture is clean, but dated and tired. I felt the kitchen was well equipped, but with low end items including the coffee maker. The pillows and comforter need to be replaced. The pillows and comforter are thin and old. I realize price reflects what you get. However, it doesn't cost a lot of money to have a decent coffee maker, good pillows, newer comforter and sheets. The mattress has a piece of foam placed over the top of it. The foam piece makes the mattress very soft which was tough on my back. The condo walls are thin and you can hear everything from the unit next store. The renters on that side can hear everything from our unit. Watching TV, we kept the volume low as we didn't want to bother the couple in the other space. I believe the unit next door is the lock-off connected to the condo we rented. You share a deck with this unit. There is bit of lattice work and plants that separate the two spaces. Okay, but not that private. You are paying for a good location and an older place.

Ideal location

Ideally situated as family where all in other condos on Grand champions. There were some issues with stains on the carpet in the lounge from other previous visitors who had been none to careful , however after showing photos the owner was very helpful, most apologetic & arranged for carpet cleaning which was postponed due to us getting covid but a speedy resolution was reached. The condo had everything you could possibly need for your stay. The interior decor is a little tired compared to some other larger more expensive condos however this was less expensive.

Just what we needed

I am grateful we were able to stay at this property. It was the perfect size and location for a mom/daughter get away. We did not spend much time in the condo during our short stay --- we were out exploring, dining, hiking and at the beach. We ended up needing to communicate with the owner and the condo's contact on island. In both cases, Rachel and John were responsive in some challenging situations. It was all fine and I would go back to this condo.

Perfect location and priced right

We have stayed at the Grand Champions condos previously and it's a great location for snorkeling and swimming at nearby beaches. Plus you have the upscale shopping center and a fantastic market/grocery store that has very good food. The unit is fine, the only issue is a very noisy air conditioner in the bedroom, it should be replaced. Otherwise all is as advertised.

Evaluation

Above average location. Some issues with housekeeping. With only 2 bath towels for 2 weeks, my wife had to wash them and hand towels twice over a two week period. Having at least 2 additional would have been nice. Also, only 2 rolls of toilet tissue for 2 weeks seemed to be inadequate for 2 people. Front door was a challenge to open each time. AC unit in bedroom was noisy when used. Finally, concerned about relaxing on the lanai, since we weren't sure when adjoining occupant would be accessing washer and dryer. John was a lifesaver by unclogging shower drain and bathroom sink drain. Thank you making this unit available to us.

This Grand Champions condo has been in the family for 25 years. Sylvia Sherman, Bruce's mother, relocated back to San Diego to spend time with family. Helene and Bruce then remodeled and began renting the unit. Rachel, Helene and Bruce's daughter and Sylvia's granddaughter, has taken over the handling of reservations as of March 2019. We all love this condo and would like to retain this family legacy on Maui for our children, grandchildren, and others to enjoy.

After Helene and Bruce enjoyed a marvelous vacation in Maui in 1989, Bruce encouraged his parents to travel to this beautiful island. To help the reluctant travelers, he planned the itinerary, down to the best beaches for swimming and snorkeling. At an early morning breakfast, looking out over the calm Pacific waters, his parents decided to move from the 'cold ocean and bitter San Diego winters' to swim and snorkel year round in the 'warm waters of paradise'. That was 25 years ago!
