This is a perfect getaway spot! Hidden away and within close distance to the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. The house, amenities, and pool were excellent. If you are looking for the best VRBO in Playa Grande, this is it!

We absolutely loved our time at Casa Pelicano! The house was comfortable and had everything we needed and more. We really appreciated the boards and wagon they provided for the beach, and the pool floaties. Hazel was very responsive, helpful, and friendly. They have a great guide book for the house, neighborhood, and surrounding areas that helped us make the most of our time in Playa Grande and the rest of our trip. Everything about our stay here was amazing, and I hope we get the chance to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Pelicano. It is a beautiful house just steps from Playa Grande beach. The kitchen is fully stocked and two bathrooms were ideal for our family of five. We loved having a pool to use when it was too hot for the beach. We also appreciated the use of the sun tent, beach chairs and surf boards. Hazel and Kim were great hosts and available to answer any questions. We would love to visit again and highly recommend to others.

This beautiful, clean home and surrounding gardens had it ALL! The kitchen was very well stocked with just about everything anyone would need. We loved having a warm pool and gas grill, too. Kim and Hazel were both quick to respond to any of our requests or questions. We LOVED using the boogie boards every day as well as bringing the chairs down to eat dinner during the sunsets. 5 stars and then some! EXCELLENT accommodations. We will be back!

Our family loved Casa Pelicano. Hazel and Kim are thoughtful, warm, inviting hosts with a beautiful, clean home, minutes from the ocean. It is fully stocked for indoor and outdoor cooking, lots of extras (bikes, surf boards, boogie boards, floaties, hammock), private pool, gorgeous gardens and original art throughout. There are a number of great restaurants in walking distance. We discovered Pura Vida on our first visit to Costa Rica. Early morning walks on a wide open beach, stunning sunsets every evening. We would come back and stay here again. Highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

The place has everything you need. The yard and pool area was so lush and beautiful. Felt like we were in our own tropical oasis. Beach is so close. We also did the long walk on the beach to the water taxi to go to Tamarindo. It’s literally a 30 second ride to get you over the river. A couple restaurants close by to walk to. Would highly recommend for a family or two couples.

We loved it so much! Great location. We loved the pool and the proximity to the beach which is not overcrowded at all. Hazel and Kim were great hosts that were super responsive and helpful. Great place.

This was great for our family. We have adult children and needed more space than a hotel room…can’t beat having a pool and access to the ocean so close by!

Picture this: you wake up and grab a boogie board and towel, and head to beach, less than 4 minute walk away. You spend all morning at the beach, then take a short path back to this beautiful home, and make yourself a cup of coffee before diving into the gorgeous pool. The gate doorbell rings; it’s the bakery truck swinging by to see if you want any fresh cinnamon rolls or freshly made sourdough bread. Then, you look up and spot a howler monkey lounging in the trees. You and the kids play all afternoon and then walk to dinner at one of the open air restaurants just down the street, where the food is fresh and delicious! This place is incredible. We had such a wonderful stay and we would love to come back!

Beach House Oasis

Casa Pelicano was a beautiful beach house oasis a short walk from the beach. House was clean, well decorated and exactly as advertised. We would stay her again. Hazel was an amazing host!

Great location & house!

Loved the house which was perfect for our family of 4. Kids loved the pool of course. The area was also great b/c you can easily walk to the beach and some cafes and restaurants. Would come again!

Costa Rica Getaway

We had an amazing stay at this Casa Pelicano in Costa Rica! The location couldn’t be better — just steps from a beautiful, quiet beach and nestled in a wonderful, safe neighborhood. The accommodation was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What really made the experience exceptional was the host — incredibly welcoming, responsive, and helpful with local tips. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic beach escape!

Casa Pelicano is beautiful!

Caso Pelicano is a wonderful property as advertised. Playa Grande is a beautiful beach! We wished we could stay longer and appreciated Hazel's help with respect to the crazy weather we experienced.

Just book it, you won't regret it.

Beautiful home, great location, the beach is close and hardly any people at the beach. Everything is well stocked and Hazel is very helpful before, during and after your stay.

Perfect Place!

Easy beach access, nice bedrooms and common space. Great pool and sitting area. Owner was AMAZING! Easy to communicate with, and was willing to go above and beyond to fix the minor maintenance issues that came up during our stay.

Santosha is steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. Low tide offers the most magnificent beach walk's /runs all the way to Tamarindo Estuary in the South or past Playa Ventana in the North. Keep your eyes open for baby turtles that might have just hatched and are heading to the ocean. For the surfers make sure your board is waxed before high tide. When you have had enough of the sun and the beach come home to our tropical paradise and laze in the pool or on the pool loungers. The porch is large and gives you enough shade or sunshine. Bird watchers we have plenty to see (even a set of binoculars) Explore Playa Grande on the 2 beach cruisers. Cycle to Rip Jack Inn for early morning Yoga.
Santosha is ideally situated to enjoy the benefits of Tamarindo via a short water ferry ride or the peace and tranquility of Palm Beach and Playa Grande. The best of both worlds.
