The apartment is very well situated in the place Carnot. Everything is within easy reach including a supermarket, many good restaurants and a lovely bakery. The apartment was clean and well supplied with everything we needed including a dishwasher and washing machine. We would love to visit again.

We loved our stay in the apartment. It was very clean, and the central location was perfect for exploring the area. Being so close to the square added a real sense of authenticity to our visit, while all the key spots were within easy walking distance. The station was also conveniently nearby. The hosts were excellent—friendly, helpful, and informative throughout our stay. All instructions were communicated clearly and made everything seamless from start to finish. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.

Wonderful stay

We had a great stay at this lovely apartment in the heart of Carcassonne. The apartment was very clean and big, and it’s nice to have the square on your doorstep.

Short break in Carcassonne

Lovely apartment in a great location. Shops and restaurants on the doorstep. Walled city of carcassonne 15 minute walk away, best selection of restaurants on the way.

Roof terrace in Carcasonne

Property was ideally situated overlooking Place Carnot, convenient to all amenities. Apartment is spacious and light-filled, well equipped and comfortable. The roof terrace with a spectacular view of La Cité was a great bonus, terrific for an apéro.

This apartment is in a great area. Near many restaurants. We were able to walk from the train station to the apartment and also we were able to walk to the castle. I very much appreciated how easy it was to communicate with the owners. We also enjoyed a glass of wine on the roof top terrace with a view of the castle. An excellent experience!

Great stay close to city centre and La Cite!

We had a wonderful time! We loved being able to look out over La Cite from the rooftop and open the window to look out over Place Carnot! Instructions for parking and check in/out from the host were extremely helpful—everything went smoothly! We also enjoyed the farmers market and assembling our own meals with fresh, local ingredients before heading downstairs for a cocktail at Place Carnot. And can’t forget how much fun it was to play a game of Carcasonne while looking out at the grand medieval fortress itself!

Large and beautiful apartment

We enjoyed out stay . Bed was wonderful. The apartment is comfortable. Our issue was the stairs up the apartment. Narrow and difficult to carry luggage up. For guests with mobility difficulties this can be a challenge.

Carcassonne Getaway

Loved the apartment! Quirky layout, artsy, Bohemian vibe all lent to an enjoyable stay. On second floor (third floor in US) off a lovely square (Neptune fountain) with several restaurants and in a neighborhood of lovely shops. Supermarket a few doors away. Walking distance to the Citadel- just over a mile. Enjoyed the view from the rooftop as night fell to get a photo of the Citadel. Nicely maintained and furnished apartment. Well equipped. We’d gladly stay there again!

The overall apartment was good and you can’t beat the location for convenience. Place Carnot is right out the front door. And that also made the apartment a bit noisy. Every morning, the street sweeping machines came through sometimes as early as 5am so bring ear plugs. Also the stairs to the 2nd floor are a bit of work with a suitcase so be ready. Other than that, the place was spotlessly clean and adorable. The host was accommodating and informative. The bed was comfortable and there is every tv channel you could ask for. The kitchen is well equipped and even has salt and pepper, as well as olive oil. There is a grocery steps away, a boulangerie, fromagerie, bucher and a ton of restaurants right out the door. I would stay again but bring my ear plugs and that’s the only reason it didn’t get 5 stars!

Here's what I think you need to know as a traveler:- Sharon was a pleasure to work with and provided timely detailed access info- The location of this apartment is A- The large windows are absolutely gorgeous and a huge selling point of this property- There's no ac, so if it's hot it's really hot (the listing is accurate in this regard)- Second floor in Europe 3rd floor so if you have a lot of luggage try to enlist help!Had it been cooler we would have loved staying in this location! It was our own fault; we knew there was no AC, but we often travel to France and are accustomed to being without it. However, it happened that we were there in a huge heatwave and it was too hot so we ended up moving to a hotel the next night. Sharon was gracious about it and offered additional fans and was quick to respond.She's an artist and has great art for sale as well as lots of games and stocked amenities like sunscreen, bugspray, etc. If you are going to Carcassonne and looking to be in the center of it all, choose this location.

Lovely well equipped and tastefully decorated apartment. Perfect location just off the main square so spoiled for choice of restaurants. You are right in the heart of La Bastide. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend the apartment. We rent abroad a lot and this apartment was one of the best equipped and presented venues we have hired. It is second floor so there are a few stairs to climb. The roof terrace is up another 2 flights again so be prepared for the climb.

La situation de cet hébergement est vraiment parfaite! Les équipements sont malheureusement très usés (divans et baignoire particulièrement). L’appartement est atypique et très bien décoré, mais convient peut-être davantage à une clientèle plus jeune que nous, des « vieux » d’une soixantaine d’années

Très bien !

Appartement atypique, très charmant et très bien situé pour visiter la Bastide et la cité médiévale. Petite place avec tous les commerces utiles au pied de l'appartement et le toit terrasse avec vue sur la cité est un réel petit plus ! Les échanges avec les propriétaires se sont faits par SMS et email et à chaque fois avec clarté et courtoisie. Je recommande, très bonne adresse !

Great Location for Bastide and La Cite

Owners were extremely helpful and prompt with replies and allowed us to check in a little earlier as the apartment was ready. Apartment has everything one could need. Location is very close to Place Carnot and anyone sleeping on the pull out couch will have to put up with street noise. Apartment is perfect for a couple and the bedroom is not affected by noise. Note: There is a steep narrow stairs to the apartment and again to the roof terrace so persons with mobility problems should bear this in mind. All said, I would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

Charming and ultra-clean space in the centre

What a great find! Welcoming and convivial hosts, ultra-clean space, well-equipped kitchen, spotless towels and bed linens, and all within just a few steps of the centre of town.
