Catskill Shinrinyoku Cabin
Escape the city and immerse yourself in serenity at Shinrinyoku Cabin, a Japanese-inspired hideaway nestled on 20 private acres. Wake to birdsong, unwind in the wood-fired hot tub, and take in sweeping mountain views that stretch to the horizon.
Inside, warm wood tones and minimalist design invite relaxation. Cook a rustic pizza in the wood-burning stove, grill beneath the stars, or curl up by the fire to stream your favorite shows. With fast Wi-Fi, plush linens, and unforgettable sunsets, this
Your experience is thoughtfully hosted by Casskell Stays, a boutique property management team rooted in the Catskills. We follow your lead — whether you prefer total privacy or a bit of connection, we’re just a message away. Should you need anything at all during your stay, don’t hesitate to reach out; our team is always happy to assist and ensure your visit feels effortless.
Just 8 minutes from Jeffersonville, where you’ll find a supermarket, bake shop, and a few small weekend shops.
Head 17 minutes to Callicoon for great food at Spruce Home, tapas and cocktails at The Wine Bar, and local goods at Callicoon Pantry.
Livingston Manor and Narrowsburg are each about 20 minutes away — both filled with great eats, breweries, vintage shops, and Catskills charm. Don’t miss spots like Upward Brewing, Nest, Homestedt, Tusten Cup, and Maison Bergogne for local flavor and finds.
The cabin is entirely yours during your stay. A roofed carport offers covered parking for up to two cars.
Inside, a private office features a scenic view and a 24” monitor for connecting your laptop — perfect for remote work. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds and soak in the mountain views.
A washer and dryer are available in the basement for light use or emergencies.
“Shinrinyoku” means forest bathing in Japanese — and this peaceful retreat truly lives up to its name.
If you’re looking to escape the city, unwind in nature, and still stay connected with reliable high-speed internet, this is the perfect place.
The home features an open-concept living room, dining area, and kitchen filled with natural light and fresh mountain air. There are two comfortable bedrooms, a private office with a view, and a brand-new wood-fired hot tub. We’ll start a fire before your arrival so it’s already warming — it takes a bit more care than a standard hot tub, but the experience is well worth it. Simply add a few logs every hour or so to keep it hot throughout your stay. (A higher cleaning fee ensures it’s prepped and ready for your use.)
Fully renovated in 2021, the cabin feels fresh and bright with new paint, modern finishes, and thoughtful comforts — including a Japanese bidet in the primary bathroom, heated towel racks, and radiant floors for cozy winter days.
The living room features a wood-burning fireplace and two sofas that can convert into beds for extra guests. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to cook and gather with ease — simple, stylish, and functional.
There is little for public transportation in the area, but Casskell Stays can accommodate arranging transportation for you on your behalf. Parking is free in most small towns in the area.
We kindly ask that you treat the cabin with the same care you would your own home. Every piece and detail has been thoughtfully chosen to create a warm and peaceful atmosphere — please enjoy them respectfully.
As this is a true country home, it operates on a private septic system. Please flush toilet paper only, and avoid pouring oils, coffee grounds, or food waste down the sink to help preserve the system.
For an elevated stay, explore Casskell Stays’ Member Concierge Services — from private yoga sessions and chef-prepared meals to ongoing wood-fired hot tub maintenance during your visit. You can browse the full list on our website or message us directly; we’re always happy to help curate something special for your stay.
