Cliff House - Stunning Private Home with Ocean View and Pool and Spa

Nestled in the jungle of Huelo, our private Cliff House is a couple's retreat dream! Perfect for honeymooners or vow renewal, this spot is stunning and private with views of the ocean and Hanehoi Waterfall. Guests can expect everything they need for a romantic stay on Maui: private garden, pool, hot tub, kitchen, and outdoor shower. Come rest, relax, and rejuvenate with a special Hawai'i vacation in the lush jungles of paradise.

The Cliff House is a Balinese style A-frame open concept home with teak wood and marble accents. The home is set in a private tropical garden with an emerald tile pool, outdoor shower, and pool side dining with gas barbecue.

Inside, the floors of the Cliff House are Javanese marble, brought in from Bali. A King size bed is centered beneath the teak wood ceiling with a skylight perfect for stargazing! The ocean view from the dining area is right off the open kitchen equipped for light meals (two induction burners and a convection oven). The Cliff House has three ocean facing decks laid with lava slate gathered from the slopes of the Gunnung Agung volcano in Bali. A private hot tub over looks the natural untouched valley.

Note: Please keep in mind, our center is a rustic compound in the middle of the jungle. We do have de-humidifiers and air purifiers in every room. We are centered in a tropical rainforest with many weird and wonderful insect species. We only use natural pesticides and cleaning chemicals on the property. As a result, we occasionally have more animal visitors. Jungle critters such as geckos may creep into your room. Please rest assured this is not a housekeeping issue, and rather the privilege of living in this magical jungle home. We are in their natural habitat, so we will not refund any portion of your stay for these house guests.

Wonderful Stay at the Cliff House

We very much enjoyed our time at the Cliff House. This property is beautiful. The lanai overlooks a deep valley with views of the ocean and a waterfall. There are chairs and also a nice hot tub there to enjoy the view. The main house is quite comfortable and well decorated. Our teenage daughters enjoyed the private pool and slept in the gazebo house. The gardens at the cliff house and property or beautiful - like you’re staying in a botanic garden. The property is secluded and quiet. It’s about 20 min to the town of Paia and is on the road to Hana. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a unique experience on Maui.

Endroit paradisiaque

Nous sommes venus pour 2 nuits, 3 adults et 1 adolescent. La villa est superbe. La piscine et le spa privé étaient fantastiques. La vue donne sur la mer et une chute paradisiaque. La cuisine de luxe et tout équipée wow. Même la douche à l’extérieure nous a amusé. Nous avons fait le tour de la ferme avec John. C’était vraiment au dela de nos attente, professionnel et instructif. Situé au début de la route de Hana proche des twins falls. On a merveilleux souvenirs :)

North shore hideout

Gorgeous location and view. House was built in the 80's and is somewhat dysfunctional in interior design layout. Location is fairly remote and ideal for visitors that don't want to be bothered.

Amazing experience!

Our stay at the Cliff House was wonderful. The property is so beautiful, peaceful, and private. You really have your own, private compound when you stay here! The view of the ocean, sunrise, and waterfall out front are breathtaking. The apt. itself is well appointed with a very comfortable bed and fully-stocked kitchen. The grounds of the entire eco retreat are lovely, and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and give us an impromptu tour of the organic farm. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique, relaxing place to stay, surrounded by nature. A couple of things to be aware of: (1) there is no stove and no oven, but there are 2 electric, convection burners for cooking that worked well; (2) the water had a moldy smell, so we only used bottled water for cooking and drinking. There is a water cooler in the apt.

Wonderful

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here while celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. The pictures do not do it justice! It is even more beautiful and peaceful in person. One could not ask for a more amazing view and setting. Would go back!

Perfect Vacation for Two

Nothing was short of amazing at this property. The views were breathtaking and everyone I encountered was amazing and so nice. I would definitely recommend the Cliff House - it's a perfect private paradise.

I would give 10 stars if available.

My partner and I were blown away when we walked into the Cliff House (we travel a lot, so that's saying something). The waterfall was right outside our patio, in clear view,the vast ocean views, the mountain views. The House was peacefully decorated, lovely, comfortable etc...etc...etc...If you have the opportunity to stay here, don't hesitate. I also can't say enough about the staff they were lovely, so accommodating,gentle and kind. Can you tell yet, WE LOVED IT HERE!

Improvements should be made.

Beautiful views but... Cons: Faulty burglar alarm that activated at night. According to the staff, this alarm is activated every week without a known cause. After the alarm, an unidentified person entered the locked property and asked to come inside the house. All plumbing (no running water, no toilet flushing, etc) was turned off for 2 hours without notice. All lights on the decks were dead for the majority of our stay. Stale, old house smell. Due to the daily rate of this rental, we had higher expectations.

A MUST FOR ANY MAUI VISITOR!

Our stay at the Cliff House was nothing short of a dream. We came to Maui for our honeymoon and were looking for somewhere romantic, relaxing, and a place to fulfill our adventurous spirits. We stayed here first, a resort in Wailea, and at a rental home in Hana. If I could do it over, we would have stayed at the Cliff House all ten days. The location is the perfect mix of private and relaxing while still being 5 minutes away from amazing hiking and waterfalls. In addition, we were only miles away from a grocery store (we cooked a lot in the amazing kitchen/outdoor gas grill) and numerous resturant options in Haiku or Paia. We without a doubt will return to the breathtaking Cliff House. It truly felt like our home away from home and was the perfect start to our honeymoon and marriage.

The Cliffhouse! More like Romance central!

As the prior reviews have stated, you can not get how absolutely stunning this place is by the pictures. We arrived in the dark, tired, and apprehensive of what to expect. Cindy met us there and showed us what we needed to know. She is so fabulous! Slept in the bedroom cabana! AWESOME!! Woke up and we were just in awe! Walking the grounds, seeing the lily pads in the ponds. The rain, the rainbows, the outside shower! My husband and I had the most romantic getaway of our 15 years together! I can not wait to return to this special place!!

Incredible spot you wont beleive

The cliff house was an ultra private spot - very clean, very relaxing, great day/nighttime views from the spa/decks - when you are finished traveling around during the day - there is no better place to come back to, to settle in. Just incredible for anyone looking to get away from the tourist and hotel scene - you will love it - bring your camera, bring your bathing suit - views of the ocean, a waterfall and Haleakula! Will definitely go back.

Perfect Honeymoon Spot!

Pictures just don't do this property justice! Absolutely stunning! Perfect for romantic honeymoon, the grounds were so gorgeous that we barely left the place. Very private & secluded, staff was very friendly & helpful. Already planning a return visit!

The view will knock your socks off!

My husband and I rented the Cliffhouse for our first 3 nights in Maui to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We used it as a place to relax, soak in the unimaginable views of the ocean, rainforest below, mountains, and the view of the waterfall right from the deck. We watched the sun come up right in front of us every morning. This is the Maui you dream of, away from resorts, and in the heart of the community. It is TOTALLY private and you feel like you are all alone in the world if you want to. Your OWN pool too! Great restaurants and a wonderful start to the Road to Hana - beat all the traffic coming from the other sides of the island! Perfect for 2 people - wouldn't work for more, as shower, beds, are all in the open. Cindy was magnificent to work with, totally personable and very professional. Couldn't have been better!
