Sometimes you will hear the soothing sound of the waterfall and stream in the jungle gorge below the cottage.

Guests love our luxurious, deep soaking tub for 2. No chemicals or second-hand water. Just fill it up for each soak. It is a private, intimate relaxing experience. It will be love at 1st soak!

Guests also enjoy our 2 private, side by side hot/cold outdoor showers in the warm Maui sun or under the stars at night.
A drenching rain shower head and an adjustable hand held for your together enjoyment. Truly memorable.

New, king-size, luxurious, super comfortable bed with 100% quality cotton linens will lull you to sleep each night after your Maui activities.

The bathroom features granite counter top vanity, maple cabinets, skylight, including hairdryer, make-up mirror and designer soaps. Luxuriate in the newly tiled walk-in shower with a deluxe invigorating shower head and hand held shower. All are kept sparkling clean.

There is a large front loading washer and dryer at the cottage, so no need to pack as much.

The cottage is very tranquil and beautiful! You go to sleep listening to coqui frogs singing and wake up to the singing of birds and roosters! Starting from the driveway to the cottage floral scents and beautiful greenery and flowers. To top all this beauty is our host Hank, had a basket of fruits and healthy snacks waiting for us and great recommendations! The best stay ever! Thank you Hank

This is a really great place to stay. My husband and I stayed a week and it was peaceful! I highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet get away.

Hank’s place is my favorite over all of the places we have stayed on Maui…he was a wonderful host and would recommend the cottage to any couple or single travelor
so beautifully appointed, private and serene..the air smells like gardenias and Hank’s garden and landscaping are exceptional

We were instantly pleased with this property! It was spotless inside and out. It was beautifully furnished including everything in the kitchen, deck, for the beach and the way they organized the garbage and recycle. The outdoor tub was Devine along with the deck furniture with gorgeous views in every direction.We loved the healthy vegetation growing around the property along with the fresh fruit furnished by Hank, the friendly, helpful owner. Fresh orchids and flowers too! Private parking and private lovely cottage. A must stay again Maui property!Jacqueline

Hookipa Bayview Cottage couldn’t have been better! It was super clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage was very private and peaceful. Bed was very comfortable and both indoor and outdoor spaces were great! Loved the wrap around porch - enjoyed coffee and great view of the ocean every morning. Outdoor soaking tub and showers were a treat! It truly exceeded our expectations in every way and was in a great location for all island activities. Nearby Nuka a must try for seafood / sushi - Nuka bowl on menu the best. Hank was very communicative and friendly and gave us some freshly picked apple bananas and the most juicy oranges from his garden as well as other snack items. Loved our stay and would definitely come again!!

We were arriving very late in the night and Hank messaged us that if there was anything we needed when we arrived to call him and he would help us. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and was clean, private and welcoming and a great place to relax.

Perfection! The attention to detail makes this a true retreat. From the moment you step onto the property you know you have reached a truly special place. The home and grounds are beautiful and provided all the comforts you need for a great stay. It is very well equipped with many thoughtful amenities to make our stay easy and enjoyable. Hank is full of local knowledge of where to go from eating to swimming and readily available to answer questions without being intrusive. A wonderful host. Would definitely stay here again and have already recommended to my friends.

This cottage in up country Haiku is perfect! Lovely grounds landscaped with tropical flowers and fruit trees surround this property. Wonderfully appointed kitchen has everything you need to dine in. Super comfy king bed. Our host, Hank, generously provided fresh oranges and bananas whenever we asked. Quaint Haiku and Makawao towns near by for groceries and fun shopping. The awesome surf break Ho’okipa is just a 10 min drive down the road. Truly a gem on Maui’s north shore. Thank you Hank!

We had the most amazing time here! The cottage was beautiful and very secluded. The bed was very comfortable, and the home was very well stocked. Hank was a wonderful host, even dropping off a fresh avocado from the property. We enjoyed the Lenai that surrounded the home, with coffee each morning. We already want to come back! Thank you, Hank, for a wonderful time.

This secluded and private cottage is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Me and my wife came here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. From the outside bath and outside shower to the gorgeous interior of the cottage is was amazing. Definitely will be coming back. Thank you Hank!

All what we wanted quiet, private, clean. Hank and Carol Ann provided fresh fruit and a juicer for the oranges too. A wonderful time here.

I live in Haiku on Magical Maui. I'm on the verdant, lush, gorgeous North Shore...not in the crowded tourist areas. I've lived in the islands over 40 years and 25 of them on Maui. I love Haiku because it feels like country, yet we are only 5-10 minutes away to great restaurants, art gallerias and boutique shopping. All properties around are a minimum of 2 acres so there is seclusion and privacy. I love to garden and enjoy all of the tropical plants that have been planted and lovingly cared for. Guests enjoy the exotic, tropical plantings with vibrant flowers everywhere. Some call it a tropical oasis. There is also a huge organic veggie garden that I love to share with guests, along with all kinds of citrus fruits and bananas. Guests come from all over the world and enjoy the relaxing ambiance that the property provides. I look forward to meeting you sometime too.

Cottage guests love Haiku. They love the seclusion and privacy. Many guests have stayed at the high end hotels and condos and prefer the cottage because it is so comfortable and located on a spectacular piece of Maui real estate. We are in the country, but only a 5-10 minute ride to great restaurants, art galleries and boutique shopping and the beach.
