Información de la propiedad

Creek House On Burton Farm

Amidst the countryside of Delaware Co. Indiana, between the farmlands, woods and a babbling creek you’ll find Burton Farm. With all the charm of rural life, the farm is conveniently tucked within minutes of urban activity.

Nestled between the green pastures, the swaying of trees feeling a soft breeze, the nicker of horses out enjoying the day, you’ll find The Creek House on Burton Farm.

A 5 bedroom, 3 bath vacation rental home suitable for up to 16 guests, this home allows for a large family reunion or simple quiet time away with those you hold dear. The house boasts plenty of open living space to enjoy time together indoors.

Outside the home, visitors can explore the 85 acre Burton Farm estate. Visit the horses out in pasture or see them in action in the indoor arena of the actively working equestrian center. Take a walk along the creek, enjoy nature and time together with friends and family.

The Creek House, established in 2017, was not specifically named for its geographical location next to Jacobs Creek. Its name has ties that run far deeper. A subtle nod to the Burton family, specifically Jacqueline Burton and her mother Janice Leiphart. “Our family ancestry has ties from a myriad of regions globally. All of them play an important part in who we are, but one in particular has always held a special place in the hearts of our family.” Said Janice Leiphart, Queen Mum of Burton Farm. The family’s history includes descendants of the Creek (Muscogee) Tribe of American Indians. Janice, along with her six sisters and four brothers, have created a large and far reaching family. With siblings scattered as far as the Carolinas and southern Florida, The Creek House offers a home base, a way to come home for the family. “When people visit, and they stay in a hotel, its just hard. You have to go back to your room, you’re separated, its not truly visiting. This is a way to truly be together as a family” Said Janie Venegas, one of Janice’s sisters from Chicago, IL.

The Creek House - it’s just another way of saying the family house – ours and yours- a place to gather with those you hold dear.

Our family was delighted with the house & yard. Honestly, it was even better than advertised. It was big enough for all of us & close enough to the events we were attending in Muncie. The host was responsive to our questions, which were minimal as most of the information we needed was there at the house.

Beautiful and spacious. I was very impressed with the square footage. The rooms were all unique in their own ways. We loved cooking meals in the kitchen and we had farm fresh eggs for breakfast every morning. We were very impressed and look forward to staying here again!

The Creek House was perfect for our needs. It could have accommodated more people than we had (6 adults) easily. Large living area that worked out great for our graduation lunch. There were tables and chairs in the garage which was great so we didn't have to eat on our laps! All in all if we needed a place for a bigger group to stay in Muncie again we wouldn't hesitate to book and stay here again.

The house was great! It can easily host a large family. Plenty of places to sleep and sit and eat. The hideaway is great for young kids. Good water pressure. It’s clean. Great location for us. The farm store is a huge added bonus! The eggs were great, the homemade jam was amazing plus they had a freezer full of beef. The sausage/bacon was fantastic and well priced. Looking forward to staying here again!

Relaxing and peaceful

This property fit our family perfectly. The ground floor bedroom with kitchen and family room was a godsend for an elderly family member who struggles climbing stairs. The granddaughters successfully joined the grandsons in the Hideaway. The property offered a serene atmosphere and room to wander with little distraction. A very pleasant place to stay.

Great Thanksgiving on Burton Farm!

What a unique place! Well appointed and comfortable, Aaron and Jaqueline have created a really wonderful space to gather and stay, and we’re super communicative and helpful for any needs. Loved the hideaway room for the kids and the setting is beautiful amidst the working farm. Hope to return in the future, loved our stay!

Family friendly

My family stayed here during my son's wedding. We had 16 people, and there was plenty of room. Great setting on the Burton farm. We sat on the front porch in the mornings and watched the sunrise and the horses. Super relaxing place to stay!

Nice place, lots of room

Our stay was good. Check in was easy, communication was good. The area is quiet but close enough to town to make trips fast. We were there for some training in the area so mostly there in the evenings but we took advantage of the gas grill for steaks. Enjoyable time. Would go back again.

Oasis over a weekend

We needed a place to get our “large” family for a weekend away! We wanted to be together on the first anniversary of our Dad/husband/grandpa passing. Thanks for an amazing oasis in our lives.
