Our apartment is located on the 7th and top floor (with an elevator) of a palazzo built in 1885 on Via Filippo Turati, less than 500 meters from the main train station (Stazione Termini).
It is a penthouse apartment with a spacious, east-facing terrace. The apartment consists of a large living room (salotto), which also houses the bed—screened off by a room divider—a smaller study (studiolo), a kitchen with a dining area opening onto the terrace, and a bathroom with a toilet and a window. Because it’s on the top floor, you can hardly hear any noise from the street; all the windows face the quiet inner courtyard.
As a special feature, our terrace provides access to another terrace on the roof of the palazzo, from which you have an indescribable 360° view of Rome.
The apartment has retained its historic character: the solid chestnut doors, the terracotta tiles, and the brick vaulted ceiling—as well as the large marble sink in the kitchen—date back to the building’s original construction and have been carefully restored.
In addition, the apartment is equipped with a ceiling fan, air conditioning (which, thanks to the excellent natural climate, is rarely needed), Wi-Fi, a stove, a refrigerator, and an oven.
