I would highly recommend this bungalow in North KC. Walking distance to the cutest coffee shop, iron district, chicken and pickle, cinder block brewery, etc. The host was great at communicating and being available throughout the entire stay if we needed anything. 10/10 would recommend.

We stayed at the 1023 Bungalow with my family during the World Cup matches in Kansas City and it was exactly what we needed. The location made everything easy: close enough to get around the city without dealing with downtown parking and traffic every day, and quiet enough that we could actually unwind after long days out.The place itself was spotless from the moment we walked in. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed for the mornings we wanted to cook instead of eat out, and the whole space felt like it was actually cared for, not just rented out and forgotten about.Communication with the host was fast and easy the entire stay. Check-in instructions were clear, and any question we had got answered right away. They also pointed us toward some great dining and coffee spots within walking distance, the kind of local knowledge you can't get from a guidebook.This is the kind of rental that makes you want to book again before you even leave. Highly recommend for anyone visiting KC, especially families. We'll be back.

Dear Vincie,The area has family roots and your home is beautiful. From a design build professional opinion, you made excellent design choices. It's classic with modern touches in the right places. It's beautiful and very well equipped. My mom had never used a French press and struggled with it. I love them and was delighted to use it. I am grateful you don't have a plastic coffee maker. Thankfully, we didn't the need the stove, because it wasn't working.The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The bathrooms comfy, pretty- all well done!A request before I rent again around July: Dimmers on lights. And, please darken the windows in the bedrooms. It would increase a good night rest. Those sensitive to night light, bring a night mask. The neighbor's porch string lights are on 24/7. I work with schools, neighborhoods and parks and rec. We stayed during International Dark Skies Week. Please introduce me to those you may know in local governance and any other stakeholders in the area. I'll help them organize for a Bird and Tree City recognition for NKC. My family is from NKC. I'm a nature-conservation teacher and journalist. Ironically, as I'm teaching the world to turn off exterior lights, as a guest in your lovely home, next door made sleeping challenging.

I’ll speak with the neighbor regarding the exterior lights, and in the meantime, we’ll be adding blackout curtains to make the bedrooms more comfortable for sleeping. Regarding the stove, occasionally new appliances can trip a breaker. Please don’t hesitate to reach out during your stay so we can promptly come by and resolve any issues. We loved how easy and accessible the property was in proximity to I-29 and in a quiet neighborhood that felt safe. There are shops and food places within easy walking distance. Off street parking was a definite perk. Home is well appointed loved the choice of fixtures. We loved the beds in the queen and king rooms they were very comfortable and we all got a great night's sleep. I was suprised to find it had an extra half bath which was to our family of five's benefit! Was very clean as pictured and as expected. We were also surprised to find a few things available in the kitchen like sandwich baggies, aluminum foil and plastic wrap--Super helpful.Speaking of which the host was extremely helpful and always responded promptly and went to extra efforts to help us out. We would definitely stay again. My personal favorite is that there wasn't a to-do list of things we needed to do before leaving the property!!!

Our stay was great! It was decorated beautiful, clean, fabulous location. Communication with the owner was smooth. Blackout curtains now in all windows so no problems with neighbor's lights.
