The beach of Sint Maartenszee is located at a distance of ca. 7 km of Dirkshorn. Schagen is a nice town with a folklore market every Thursday during the summer. In Alkmaar Cheese market on Friday during the summer. Texel is also worth, fun day to Ecomare, pieterburen Seal Sanctuary. In the immediate vicinity is a zoo "Blankendaell Park", Holle Bolle Boom (In- and outsite playground and water park for small children).
