Quick Getaway

This hotel is beautiful and the room was clean and huge. The beach was close and the location is perfect right next to all the local restaurants and bars.

Booked this room last minute (about 24hours prior to our reservation) to extend our stay at this property because we enjoyed it so much, and unfortunately our current accommodations were not available for the extra night.Immediately after booking received an email for owner direct booking discounts including check in as early as 9am which did not apply given Vrbo reservation. Attempted communications with host via text/app took hours for response. I then called and initially received immediate response. Day of reservation had to call for check in instructions which did not include where to check in. There are different check-in locations, depending on who you have booked through, this unit requires you to go to the left when you walk in to the lobby as opposed the the right where we checked in for prior reservations. The room is in need of some repairs including the curtains, pain touch ups and the bed frames appear like they need to be replaced. For one night it was fine but overall disappointed in the room and lack of communication about check in procedures.

I always try to take in feedback and do better. I'm not sure about this one. the condo is new, bed frames, curtains all new. We usually are one of the most responsive hosts. We'll make sure we do better in that regard

Check in took about an hour. Because we booked from Expedia it goes to a private check in. Which I have never experienced. So the people at the resort have no part of the check-in process…You have to make sure that you sign an agreement directly with the host of the property. Which I had no idea about. It was definitely frustrating.

Usually this is very seamless and automated. What happened is that the rental agreement had not been signed which triggers the other notifications including key codes, etc.

Pros: new construction. Very modern. Beautiful view. Not enough towels provided at the beginning but owner solved the issue quickly. Cons: one of the beds and comforter had a very bad underarm smell. We had to put towels and sleep over the towels because we could not stand the smell. Notified the owner but no reply. The room only has a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Parking is on a dirt lot. No covered parking since it’s still under construction. The pool doesn’t open until 10am. No umbrellas around the pool. The building is very close to town. While some people may like the location, the beach is packed with locals, vendors, and music. We prefer to stay at a location farther away from town.

Beautiful resort

A very beautiful resort. Our room had a beautiful view of the beach and the beds were very comfortable. The pool area and bathrooms were well maintained. The beach is a short walk from the building and the sand was free from rocks and trash. We didn't try out the restaurants, but besides that, we had no need or want to leave the resort.
