The Space:

With easy access to the beach and amenities like a shared hot tub, this beach villa is a little slice of paradise. This Forgotten Coast rental is only one mile from Windmark Beach, making it easy to lounge the day away with the hot tubs, playgrounds, and fitness room at your disposal. Don't let the fun end when you head to your home away from home for the night, because the porch at this home is screened in to keep bugs out and fresh air in. When you want the air conditioning, head indoors and watch a movie on a flatscreen TV in the living room. Next to the brightly decorated living room is the well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and dishwasher. Whip up snacks and easy meals to save money on dining out while not missing a moment of your favorite TV show. Private laundry is available as well. Everything a snowbird could need!



What's nearby:

This villa is only a mile from Windmark Beach for getting some sand and sun. This beach cottage is about six miles from St. Joseph Bay and about 60 miles from Panama City Beach, so you'll have plenty of Gulf shoreline to explore for beaches, eateries, and views. Take a day trip to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park for remarkable sand dunes, walks on the sugar-sand beach, and some grade-A snorkeling.

Our low rating came 100% at the end of our trip and I’ll explain: the house was great! The community is super cute and we loved the pool; there’s a good park area for the dogs; and it’s reasonably close to the downtown district and the state park. They didn’t have any extra blankets for the pull-out sofa but everything else was great, so great that we wanted to stay an additional night, which is where the bad review shows up. I contacted the property manager the night before our scheduled check out and the house was available for an extension. We were quoted a price, which was stated twice during the “extension” conversation and then they drastically increased the amount it would be to stay after we surpassed checkout time and we had already agreed on an amount. They called it a “mistake” and apologized for the inconvenience but my family and I decided to leave and will not return, unfortunately. Once is a mistake, twice is intentional. Nonetheless, the house itself and location is perfect, but the property management itself is untrustworthy.

Nice spot to stay.

Clean, cozy place, easy to check in. A lot of places in the area were still rebuilding, but still had a great time in St. Joe.

Accurate description of home, it is pet friendly and has a pet smell as we arrived which i wasnt fond of but .. hey it did disclose pets can stay.

Honeymoon stay

We locked the area and the cottage could have been a little cleaner in the kitchen in my opinion but we would definitely go back it was so peaceful and relaxing

Beach retreat

The cottage was a perfect home away from home. Just 2 minutes from Wnindmark beach and only 5 min from the town of Port St Joe.

Wonderful Vacay!

We had a great time at the Barefoot Cottages and will be back! My only complaints were that the guide for the TV did not match the channel listings and the beds weren’t too comfortable. It was a great location and perfect for our group of 4.

Spring Vacation

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Barefoot Cottage B22. The cottage is very tastefully decorated with all the comforts of being at home. Love the Port Saint Joe area and the most beautiful beaches in Florida as this is my second trip to the area and to Barefoot Cottages.
