5 star location, fantastic views, private beach was great. Pretty Picky was easy to deal with. However there are some issues with the house - it is a beautiful home, stocked well for a family on vacation. The house could have been significantly cleaner for the amount of money that was paid for the week. The basement was the real problem - it is finished and has a nice home theatre but the stench of mold and mildew was really bad. The house has a moisture problem, the basement had the worst smell but it could be detected on first floor as well. The AC vents and parts of the ceiling in the basement had significant VISIBLE mold/mildew growth around them. Couch in basement felt wet. Ceiling fans were filthy, caked with dust. AC returns in the house were filthy as well, totally caked with dust/hair. The listing also states "new construction" it is certainly not new construction, newer yes but definitely not new. Overall we had a great week, but for the price I would have expected the house to be spotless when we got there.

Unfortunately, there were multiple plumbing issues throughout our stay that significantly impacted our experience. Upon check-in, a gentleman let us know there had been flooding in the basement that he had to address, and fans were being used to dry out the space.That first evening, we also did not have hot water until around 10–11 PM. Two different plumbers had to come to the house to address the issue after we had already checked in. While we were out trying to enjoy the evening, we received multiple calls asking us to return to the house around 9 PM to let a plumber in, despite being about 25 minutes away.Then, on our final evening together, the kitchen faucet flooded and two people had to come to the house to fix it while we were trying to enjoy our last night. Between the flooding, lack of hot water, repeated plumber visits, and having to coordinate access to the house during our stay, this was far from the experience we expected.We are especially disappointed that, given the number and extent of these issues, there was never any offer of compensation. We understand that unexpected maintenance issues can happen, but we do feel that the circumstances warranted some form of compensation, particularly given how much they disrupted our stay.
