Charming and Immaculate - Walkable to Beach and Town - Sleeps 10

We've provided all the comforts of home on 'The Garden Island' of Kauai, one of the world's most spectacular settings. This charmingly furnished house with traditional Hawaiiana decor and lanais is surrounded by a lush tropical garden. The house is perfect for multiple or extended families and features two deluxe master bedroom suites which include private en suite bathrooms and king beds. A standard master with a California King bed has a private bathroom and the two remaining bedrooms share a bathroom.

You will seldom need your car after arriving as both the beach and charming Hanalei Town are within walking distance with its excellent restaurants, lively night spots, and shopping. The house is at the end of a quiet cul de sac, away from traffic. Only a block and a half away is the world-famous, crescent-shaped Hanalei Bay, ranked by National Geographic Traveler as one of the top ten beaches in the world. This exceptional setting can only be reached over a quaint one lane bridge that connects beautiful taro fields to a lush rain forest.

We are strictly limited to ten guests of any age or size -- babies are not exempted, sorry.

This home is a vacation rental and guests should not expect the same amenities as at a hotel including toiletries, comestibles and other supplies. We start our guests off with some hand soap and toilet paper for their arrival but otherwise it is not practical to offer supplies for the duration of their stay.

We accept reservations up to one year in advance.

The residence is located in a tsunami inundation zone. In the event of a tsunami, evacuation information is posted in the residence.

For stays over 14 nights, guests will be charged 366.49, tax included, for a mid-stay clean.

Excellent Hanalei Get Away

This was our second visit and we will be back again. Comfortable, relaxing, clean, fun property to stay at for our extended family. The 5 bedroom common areas layout worked great for three couples and 3 children. The property is a short walk to town and a shorter walk to the beach so you don't need to drive much at all. Kitchen was well equipped and the beds were plush! Overall two thumbs up.

House in Hanalei

Location is awesome. We were a block from Hanalei Bay and a few blocks from town. We could walk to every thing. The house was nice for our family. They had all the essentials you needed for the beach. The kitchen was fully equipped. Fans for the rooms. We loved our stay.Nancy Stivers

Great location in Hanalei

The house worked very well for our family group of six adults and four children. The location is great for access to the village and the beach.

Taj Ma Hale

Very comfortable house, and a very short walk to the beach, perfect location for kids. Also short walk to town, perfect location for adults! House is well-equipped, great kitchen, house is laid out well for lots of people, with beautiful views out the back. Also a closet of beach equipment including a cart, umbrellas, toys, etc. We had a great stay!

Perfect location in Hanalei

The Taj Ma Hale was the perfect spot for our family gathering. The house had plenty of rooms for everyone and a nice yard to play in. It was a very short walk to the beautiful beach in Hanalei bay. Everything for us was in walking distance but we actually preferred staying home to cook our meals. We stayed 10 beautiful days and could have stayed much longer. We will definitely be back soon!

60th Birthday Celebration

We had such a great time! Perfect location - close to beach and town. Plenty of space for our entire group! Manager communicated everything including the possibility of construction next door although it wasn't a bother for us at all. Would definitely recommend! Only thing the house was missing was AC but it had fans in every room and it cooled off pretty good each night.

Relaxing kauai vaca

We loved the proximity of the house to Hanalei Bay Beach & the town. It was a super short easy walk!! The House was a perfect layout for our extended family of 8. The open kitchen, living/Dining layout was great!!

Fantastic stay!

Our family and young kids had a great stay at the Taj! Perfect layout for family with different age kids/adults, as two of the bedrooms are isolated from the smaller kid rooms.. Nice walk to town and beach. Property manager available promptly for any issues. Highly recommend!

Wonderful home in Hanalei... loved our stay!

We loved our stay at this fantastic home in Hanalei! The location is ideal... very short walk to the beach and easily walkable to town. Also, the view of the Na Pali mountains from the lanai is divine. The layout of the home worked perfectly for our family of 6 adults and could easily have accommodated a larger group. Communication with the host was terrific... thanks, Clark! We had a wonderful stay and would love to return on our next visit to Hanalei!

Beautiful Hanalei Home

Celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in this lovely, immaculate, comfortable home. The kitchen is fully outfitted with everything you could need. Spacious bathrooms. Close walk to the beach and village. Darling interior decor - vintage Hawaiian pieces! We will definitely return!

Paradise

This is the BEST home, location, (walk 5 minutes to beach), kitchen was so well stocked with every kitchen item you could need. Two king sweets, Queen with it's own bath that the 17 year old loved. Two more bedrooms sharing a bath. Out door patio fantastic for dinner. Just a wonderful home and location. You will love this home if you are looking for walk ability to Hanalei.

Lovely home in Hanalei

This house was fantastic for our extended family of 7. A very short walk to our favorite beach on the bay and an easy walk to town. It was outfitted with everything we needed and the floor plan allows for separate space for all! My only issue is that I feel the cleaning fee is a little steep in addition to being required to do laundry but other than that is was perfect for our needs.

Family Retreat

Taj Ma Hale was the ideal house for our two families to get together. The two master suites were perfect for us parents while the young adults, teenagers, and kids stayed on the other side of the house. The home was quietly tucked in the cul de sac and the location set in between Hanalei Bay and the town. It made it very easy to walk to the beach or to town. Everyone loved it and would like to return again in the future!

Second stay just as sweet

We stayed here before a wedding in Oct 2021 when I had a broken leg and our daughter cancelled due to her pregnancy. Well this time our son and his girlfriend had to cancel but we brought the new granddaughter and her other grandmother and had a perfect relaxing week at this beautiful home. We walked to town at least twice a day for coffee and dinner, hung at the beach just a bit as weather allowed and hiked, bird watched, golfed, drove to Waimea and completed two puzzles! We will try for a third time to get all the family in this magical place at the same time!

Hurrah for Hanalei

Just what the Dr. ordered. Even though I broke my ankle 2 weeks before this trip everything went perfect. We will have to come back to do hiking but we dined, boated and swam all along the North Coast and even met with a local bird expert for two private tours. The location of the property is perfect for hopping in to town or the beach. Our adult children loved the second master suite and successfully worked from the house 2 days. We had everything we needed and my concern about no A/C was unnecessary as the fans, windows and tradewinds made the climate magical. My husband is ready to relocate to Hanalei but until then we will have to come back to this wonderful hideaway.

Loved the property

Our family of 9 loved the layout and convenience of the house to town and the beach. The linens were top quality and the beds very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and very functional especially with two sinks and two disposals. Having two washers and dryers with an extra frig made for plenty of food storage and ability to stay ahead of laundry. The only problem we encountered was that the room with the twin beds had mosquitoes and the kids had over a dozen bites on their faces one morning. The property manager sent repellent and coils and we taped up gaps in the screens. Understandably there are mosquitoes in the tropics but this was over the top. I think the screens need to be better fitted and the problem will be resolved. Otherwise we loved our stay and will definitely come back Aloha

Perfect for our Family Reunion

Just returned from a beautiful and memorable stay at Taj Ma Hale. Clark was a pleasure to interact with through entire process from reservation to returning our security deposit. He was quick to respond to all of my questions and concerns. After our reservation was confirmed, I asked to make a slight change of dates. Clark was able to accommodate the change. I emailed Clark after the devastating floods on the north shore, asking about the extent of damage to the house, neighborhood, town of Hanalei and roads. Clark responded immediately, saying he'd email soon with more details. Within a day or two, he emailed a detailed description with pictures. Clark texted me the day of our arrival asking how our arrival was. A couple days into our trip, a light fixture broke in one of the showers. I texted Clark that morning. Clark immediately put me in touch with a maintenance person. The shower was fixed by the time we got home that afternoon. We just got home and I have already received an email saying the house was left in good condition and my security deposit is in the process of being returned. All communications with Clark were professional, to the point, friendly, helpful, and timely. The house has two huge master suites and three small bedrooms. Perfect for our group of 3 families (6 adults and 4 kids ages 5, 7, 9 and 11). The kitchen had everything we needed except for aluminum foil and plastic wrap, which we picked up at the grocery store, no problem. Towels, bedding and beds were all very nice. There is no air conditioning, which I prefer. All rooms have fans and all doors and windows have screens. Once the fans were turned on and everything was opened up, fresh air circulates and the house cools off quickly. Also, there are skylight tubes that send light into the house. During the day, no lights have to be turned on and no heat from the lights is generated. There were plenty of boogie boards, coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas and snorkeling gear to accommodate our whole group. The location was amazing. Just a block from Hanalei Bay (less than 5 min walk) and two blocks from Hanalei town (less than 10 min). Walked to the beach and town multiple times every day. Walking back to the house, the backdrop of nearby mountains is breathtaking. I wish I was still there and cannot wait to come back. Thank you to Clark and everyone else who helps the Taj Ma Hale running like a friendly, well-oiled machine.
