Wow! This house is beautiful! It is so spacious and everything was perfectly clean. The kitchen is amazing! We enjoyed the pool and the fire pit. Communication was excellent. Check in was smooth. We highly recommend and would absolutely stay again. Thank you for everything!

Incredible property in a great location!

We absolutely loved the house! In a great location, beautiful backyard, comfortable beds, the list goes on! We also loved how the property managers gave a guide book with all the house info as well as tips on the area. Would stay again!

Amazing Home

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. The house was great for seven adults, giving each couple their own bed and bath. The location was good for sightseeing around the area. The grounds were private and well kept. We enjoyed the balcony and the outdoor areas, especially the fire pit in the evening. However, I would not give this home the highest rating because it seems to be in a state of disrepair and needs maintenance. We were alerted a few days prior to arrival that the air conditioner was not working in a few bedrooms and portables were supplied. We also had a dishwasher that was not working. There were weeds and loose boards around the pool deck, which gave the impression that the house was not well maintained. It was unfortunate that this lovely home left us with the impression that we didn't get what we had expected. With some attention to small details, this could be a high-quality option while in Princeville.

Exceeded our very high expectations

I didn't think this would be possible as the photos are beautiful, but this house exceeded even our very high expectations. Very thoughtful details and just a beautiful house for a big family get together. Great location, great amenities, + great communication from the property managers. I highly recommend!

This was an amazing property. Super clean and the kitchen had more gadgets that you could ever use. A huge walk in pantry with plenty of glasses. We had 6 adults, a 7yr. 10yr. 14-month-old and a 21/2 . We all had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The master bath is amazing with an incredible huge shower. The beds were so comfortable, plenty of tv's for everyone. We left a nice umbrella, floats for babies and sand toys, but there are two umbrellas, plenty of beach chairs and two paddle boards plus 3 boogie boards. A great beach wagon and a big rolling cooler, plus ice packs for the cooler. Plenty of thick nice beach towels. The AC wasn't working BUT the manager filled the house with portable AC units, and every room was so nice and cool. The yard is huge and the kids loved the fire pit at night. The only drawback was the pool was always murky, not the best. The other draw back, only one washer/dryer, we spent every evening washing beach towels and kid's clothes. But it all worked out. There was an added refrigerator in the garage which really helped out. Very close to the golf course and Princeville shopping center. A quick drive to Hanneli Beach. The furniture was also first class and very comfortable. Any problems and the Host were on it. The pictures do not credit this amazing house!

Family getaway

Overall clean, however, vacuum cleaner was very dirty and also washing machine what's dirty. For a large house, they should have two sets of washer and dryers. Pool was not clean before arrival. Overall enjoyed the stay.

Best Vacation Home Ever

This house was perfect for our family with 5 adults. The bedrooms are spread out so you're not right next to another room, and there are plenty of bathrooms. There's a beautiful backyard with comfortable outdoor furniture, lovely pool for cooling off, and plenty of beach and snorkeling gear in the garage when venturing out to local beaches. The kitchen is huge with plenty of dishes and high-end appliances. The office was perfect for my hubby's writing and checking in on work. This is a place we would definitely stay at again!

The property, the location and the house are beautiful, high end finishes, art work and everything you would need in the kitchen were much appreciated. I have to be honest here. We received notice that the A/C in the main room was out and the freezer did not work. The management was good and had portable A/Cs but were very loud, we had to turn it off during dinner to hear each other. They had a portable ice maker on the counter and pointed us towards the freezer in the garage. The ice maker did not operate and they had to replace on our 2nd day, no big deal. Lastly, the pool. It was pretty much unusable our whole trip. It was green with algae (pool guy told us this as he happened to come by). Only the top step (of three) was visible. He treated and said it would clear up in 17 hours. Next day, no change. I reached out to the management with a picture (attached here, especially when compared to listing photo) and they agreed it looked bad. Pool guy came back and partially drained the pool and refilled and did some more stuff on day 3 and then you could at least make out some steps but not see the bottom. By day 6 (our departure) you could very faintly see the bottom drain but still very murky. The pool deck had growth coming through the deck. That area was so incongruent with the rest of the house, yet its the feature of the listing and why specifically choose this house. Management refunded a relatively small amount and was apologetic.

The house is amazing! HUGE kitchen, great dining and living rooms, fun pool, comfortable bedrooms and very quiet location. The management staff were very responsive to all our questions and requests. The only issues we ran into was the fans and the A/C stopped working on day 2 of our 9 night stay. The management company worked to resolve but were unable to before we left. We also arranged a mid-stay cleaning which the cleaners did a great job but did not restock common items like Kleenex, toilet paper, paper towels or napkins. I have always had those items restocked when doing mid-stay cleanings (which we paid extra for). Small things like that should be included in an extended stay at a luxurious house like the Pau Hana Hale. Please consider this for future guests. Overall, we had an amazing time in Kauai with a very comfortable, relaxing stay in this house. I will (and already have ) recommended the house to others traveling there in 2026.

House and grounds were amazing. Plenty of room and great views. Pros: tons of room to spread out. Pool is fantastic and the beach gear was well kept. It took us a couple of days to figure out how to get in the garage and find the gear, but once we did, we were good to go. Overall, we loved the place and would stay again! Cons: We had issues with the shades in the basement and the master bedroom upstairs was missing the screen door so we couldn’t leave the door to the rooftop lanai open. It took us a while to find the switch to the fan for the master bedroom as well (hint: its at the bottom of the stairs). Also, the rock wall to the pool is a water feature. The top set of switches work the lights and pump. Use the middle for lights and right for pump.

A Special Place for a Meaningful CelebrationWe stayed at Pau Hana Hale to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday, and it became part of a milestone our family will never forget.From the moment we arrived, the home felt peaceful and private. Tucked away at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and surrounded by lush green valleys, it offers a true sense of seclusion while still being close to everything Princeville has to offer. The views are beautiful, and the large windows throughout the home make you feel connected to the landscape.The layout worked extremely well for our group. Everyone had their own space and privacy, yet the main living areas were open and comfortable for gathering together. The furnishings, bedding, and finishes feel high quality and well maintained. The kitchen was outstanding, we hosted a private chef for a special dinner, and even he commented on how spacious and well equipped it was.As with any trip, a couple of minor hiccups came up. What impressed us most was how quickly and professionally they were handled. Communication from Makana Kauai Properties was prompt and thoughtful, and Sarah was exceptional throughout. The homeowners also responded with sincerity and generosity. We truly felt cared for.Most importantly, this home gave our family space to slow down and celebrate something special. We would absolutely stay here again and confidently recommend both Pau Hana Hale and Makana Kauai Properties.Mahalo for a wonderful stay.

There were always very timely responses to any and all inquiries. The online property handbook was so helpful before and during our stay. The recommendations in there were awesome! The house itself was absolutely magnificent with stunning views and beautifully appointed. The decor is beautiful and the house had everything we needed. We have stayed in other homes in Hawaii before and the temperature control was never as good as in this home. We were so comfortable the entire trip! The location of this home is perfect! We explored the east and north side so easily! Check out was as easy as check in. We look forward to returning again and will definitely book through this company!

Princeville Thanksgving

We were visiting as a family of 8, 2 seniors, 4 adults, and2 children ages 7 and 10, gathering from 3 corners of the country to celebrate Thanksgiving together. The house was perfect- beautiful, comfortable, pristinely clean and welcoming. A beautiful bouquet of tropical flowers was on the kitchen counter to welcome us. We had a wonderful time- the kids spent most of the time in the pool. There were many little nooks and crannies where adults could go off and read or just relax, listening to the sound of the surf, which could be heard from the balcony. The adults managed to complete 2-1000 piece puzzles during our visit! Great proximity to grocery shopping and restaurants, although we cooked all of our meals in the well equipped kitchen- much easier with the kids! We did order a prepared Thanksgiving meal from Foodland , the local grocery store and everything was delicious. All in all, a wonderful family vacation. The photos online do not do justice to the beauty of this home. Everything went so smoothly, frombooking, to check in, to check out. All in all,a wonderful family vacation. Thank you so much!
