Great location, close to town, and beautiful sunset view. Check-in was easy and the property was as described. We had a pleasant stay.

Property was clean, quiet, and organized. There are other cabins nearby, but we hardly saw or heard anyone during our stay, despite being fairly close to town. The only things I would note/add for future guests are: some extra blankets (for beds and lounging), the fireplace is not for guest use, and that the shower may be a big snug for some people. Also, be aware there is a toaster oven, but no oven. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would come again.

We are glad you had a good time at Sunset Point Mountaintop Cabin while in the Bar Harbor area. It is a great spot, close to other things and town but still quiet and private. Come see us again soon.

The good: The location of this property is ideal. It's very quiet up a long winding drive and while there are homes nearby it still felt private. You're close to the park, Bar Harbor, and SW Harbor. The porch is a beautiful and peaceful place to sit and read and watch the sunset. The bad: this place was dirty. When we checked in there were dead bugs and cobwebs everywhere. It looked like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. I vacuumed myself because I was so disgusted. The property manager was very apologetic and responsive when I reported the issue to him and he came over to try and resolve the situation. He vacuumed a little more but there were still dead bugs and cobwebs everywhere. He refunded half of the cleaning fee which felt insufficient, but I wasn't in the mood to negotiate and wanted to enjoy my vacation. In addition to the cleanliness issues the place is just a little run down. Peeling paint, worn blankets, etc. We will had a great vacation but I wouldn't stay here again.

A Nice Stay With A Different Perspective

The cabin was fine. No questions or issues. Didn't have to call during our stay. It was Vrbo/Vacasa/Tides that bothered the heck out of me before our arrival date; the changing of the agency, sporadic details, some overlap, one piece missing, mixed in with promotions, unclear where trash was, unclear where laundry was. You folks were nice when I called, but all the emails were a mess.

We tried hard to avoid those gaps but I was personally glad to be able to speak to your before your stay. Emails in the system are now working as planned - so come stay with us again soon!
