Comfortable Cottage Overlooking Blueberry Field on Mt Desert Island

Southwest Harbor, located on the quiet side of MDI, is a welcome alternative to bustling Bar Harbor! A winding driveway leads to a secluded lot surrounded by evergreens. From the back door you can connect with numerous hiking trails which are located in nearby Acadia National Park! Enjoy the visiting wildlife through the wall to wall windows in the living/ dining area. On clear nights, it is the perfect spot for star gazing!!
The first floor open layout includes a fully equipped kitchen, living /dining area, 1 queen bedroom , full bath and laundry. On the second floor you will find a queen bedroom, double bedroom, full bath and loft area with futon. Take in the tranquil scenery of the blueberry field and Beech Mountain as you cook your delicious Maine lobster on the outdoor grill!

We really enjoyed our stay! Everything was clean and we loved the deer that came right up to the windows every morning. The drive was not too far to get to all the sights. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a fantastic time during our stay. The location was perfect for a relaxing stay near Acadia. We saw deer and other wildlife in the field behind the house every day. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is incredible. We loved all the windows looking out on the beautiful countryside. It was a perfect place to stay when visiting Acadia National Park.

We loved staying in this cottage. The property was beautiful and the house was clean. We loved all the space. It has two floors and we each had our own room/bed. After spending many nights in hotel rooms during our New England road trip- it was luxurious to have three nights in our own spaces

The home was beautiful and a great location! We enjoyed seeing the deer and wild turkeys in the blueberry field. We loved the feeling of being off the beaten path, but still having great hiking paths and restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

The beds were so comfortable. We were tired at night from all our activities and we rested so well! The house is easy to navigate in and out of, going to other cities in close proximity.

Beautiful and homey stay

This place felt like home. The beautiful backyard area in the fall and the quiet scenery. It was a great stay to explore bar harbor and bike Acadia.

Perfect Maine Retreat

We had such a wonderful time at the cottage. Perfect location for exploring all of Mt. Desert Island while in a quiet and beautiful location. Hope we can visit again soon!

Wonderful vacation in SW Harbor

We loved our time here. Nestled in the woods near SW Harbor, the house is very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the meadow from the living room. The property manager was responsive, prompt and helpful.

Secluded Nature Getaway

We stayed while visiting Acadia. It was great to get away from the busyness of the park and Bar Harbor each day. We saw deer and Turkeys each day. We would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful location

Lovely home, peaceful location but close to town and activities. Very clean and bright with lots of windows to enjoy the setting.
