What an incredibly beautiful stay we had at this amazing Bristol Home! It was brand new and had all of the amenities we needed! We loved everything about this beautiful property and my girls enjoyed the basketball hoop and of course we loved the beautiful large porch! The area is just absolutely breathtaking; everyone was so kind and waving while we were walking the neighborhood and enjoying the sites and the water view and lobster boats and buoys were abundant! The bedrooms were amazingly comfortable and so beautiful with just exquisite antique furniture! The kitchen was a chef's kitchen and fits a family ready to prep and have a great meal! The deck off the Living Room and Dining Room was so beautiful to enjoy our coffee and chats in the morning. All of the bathrooms were so beautiful, and we loved that Vanessa went above and beyond for her guests! It really showed with all of her beautiful touches! The downstairs had all the amenities that you could ever ask for, and we loved the beautiful polished concrete floors. This property was exceptional and our family is excited to go back next year and make this a yearly trip! We visited the Contented Soul twice for dinner while we were there. Excellent choice! We had dinner inside one night, and the next outside! The only thing we really cooked in the amazing kitchen was breakfast and frozen pizza, which is always a big hit!!

Shearwater is a place where families and friends can reconnect, whether that means beach days at Pemaquid, lobster dinners on the deck, evenings around the fire pit, or quiet mornings with coffee and ocean air. We love sharing this special corner of Maine with guests and hope you’ll make memories here for years to come.

The neighborhood is peaceful, family-friendly, and perfectly located near Pemaquid Beach, the iconic lighthouse, Fort William Henry, charming local restaurants like the Contented Sole; and some of the best hiking and kayaking on the Midcoast.

We enjoy how relaxing life feels here: long beach days, fresh seafood dinners at place's like Shaw's; star-filled nights, and the simple joy of slowing down and spending time together.

We love how centrally located New Harbor is to some of Midcoast Maine’s most charming destinations.

Guests can easily explore nearby Damariscotta for shopping, restaurants, oyster farms, and art galleries, spend an afternoon in the picturesque fishing village of Round Pond, or venture farther for day trips to places like Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay or the famous Desert of Maine in Freeport.

It is fantastic to enjoy both beach days and outdoor adventuring along beautiful wooded trails in the same trip.

Pemaquid Beach is just minutes away for swimming, sunrises, and long walks along the sand. In summer months it has a fantastic beach restaurant.

Nearby trails cared for by the Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust offer beautiful hiking for all levels, and ages (we've hiked with everyone from a 2 year old to an 82 year old on various trails) through forests, meadows, and along the rocky coastline.

It’s the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration, with easy access to some of Midcoast Maine’s most scenic natural spaces.

Whether you’re looking for beaches, boating, hiking, fresh seafood, small-town charm, or classic Maine adventures, Shearwater makes the perfect home base.
