What a great property! So quiet and well maintained. Close enough to shopping/activities but far enough away to get that secluded feel. Highly recommend booking this property.

Appreciated location in a quieter area and just a few miles from Pagosa Springs as well as great hiking areas. Dogs appreciated the larger yard and friendliness of property, I.e large and small dog bed, stuffy toy and a small fenced area if needed. Large front deck with small patio table and grill was great for all of us to chill together. The house itself was pretty and homey. Plenty of comfortable seating and quiet loft sitting area outside of upstairs bedroom. Appreciated box and pedestal fans at property as well as 2 large ceiling fans in living room. Couple issues that I would suggest fixing. Some of the windows were hard to open and could not be opened at all due to missing crank handles. Difficult to find hot water on single handle kitchen faucet. All in all this is a nice property that we’ll consider staying at again.

Nice quiet property, beautiful area. My son enjoyed fishing at the lake. Large soaking tub in the master was wonderful after skiing!

Beautiful location with gorgeous views of Hatcher Lake. We really enjoyed the deck and grill, and the home was generally clean. The house is older, but that was reflected in the price and wasn't an issue for us.Our biggest disappointment was the communication. Before our stay, I asked whether all the windows worked and whether fans were available since the home does not have air conditioning. The rental company provided a customer service phone number, and while the representative was very polite, she had never been to the property and couldn't answer my questions.I didn't receive a response through the Vrbo portal for over 36 hours and ultimately had to contact Vrbo customer service. After Vrbo reached the management company, I was told the windows had been repaired and plug-in fans would be provided. The fans were there as promised, but a few windows still did not operate properly.If you're visiting during the hottest part of the summer, be aware that the home becomes quite warm in the late afternoon and evening, although it did cool off overnight with the windows open. Overall, it's a beautiful property, but I wish the communication before arrival had been better.

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. Not too toddler friendly, but it worked! Very comfy, fans for each room since there is no AC. Beautiful views!

Beautiful House

We really enjoyed our stay. House was clean with plenty of room. Views are amazing from living room and deck. My grandkids were able to play in snow on the property. Close enough to town to shop and eat out.

Secluded and quiet

Excellent area with lots to do. The only drawback was a lack of firewood despite the pictures showing a bevy next to the fireplace. Comfortable and quiet. Would highly recommend and or reserve again.

Great place, location and neighborhood. A liiittle far out town.

Overall we loved our stay, it was very clean and the sleds in the garage were a big PLUS. The kids had a blast with them the whole trip! The only thing was that it was about 15minute drive in to town, so if you are looking for something outside of town then this is definitely a good spot. It's a beautiful neighborhood! Next time, we will probably choose something a little closer to town since we did a lot of shopping and hanging out at night.

Spring break 2024

Excellent location with amazing views. Fist day. Snow everywhere with clear skies. Amazing view of mountains in background. Snowed every day. So so pretty. Just minutes from town. Teenage son played in snow every day. Felt like home away from home. Would definitely come back.

Fave so far?

Loved this place. Near a lake with amazing views. Huge yard for pets and king size bed upstairs! Tv had some issues as there was no instructions and no way to adjust the volume. Other than THAT WE LOVED THIS 80’s ski chalet! Wouldn’t change a thing except for the sheets that won’t stay on the bed and the tv you can’t adjust the sound. Loved everything else about the place!

It was good some things are outdated but mostly the only problem I had was that the dishwasher was broken in front and a major safety issue for my 2 year old grandson

great long weekend

Overall, was a great place, near enough to be convenient to go to restaurants and grocery, but far enough out for quick escape to the wilds. House was great and had everything we needed, but we should've caught that the AC does not work. Although Colorado evenings are typically cool, it took some work to fend off the 85+ temps with strategic use of fans and blinds. It was also unclear if guests were allowed to cool off in the lake as most access points had signs stating "no swimming". All said, we would definitely stay again.

We had a good stay, but we are concerned about the condition of the property. If repairs are not made soon this property will fall apart. Windows and closet doors need to be replaced. Carpet needs replacing probably with tile as many pets have been there. property was not particularly clean when we moved in. It is a lovely location with beautiful views so I hope the owners are being notified about its condition.
