Escape to the mountains at this inviting log home, nestled among the pines on two acres in South Fork. With breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and landscape, generous indoor and outdoor spaces, and classic rustic charm, this lofty lodge is a wonderful home base for exploring the best of southern Colorado.

The great room welcomes you with beautiful natural wood, floor-to-ceiling windows, and plush furnishings that make it easy to settle in and enjoy the scenery. Distinctive wildlife décor, including mounted deer and lynx, adds to the lodge's rustic character. After a day of outdoor adventures, relax in the living area and enjoy a favorite show on the flatscreen TV with basic DirecTV service.

The fully equipped kitchen makes preparing meals at home easy, while the adjacent dining room provides a comfortable space to gather over dinner and share stories from the day's adventures.

When it's time to head outside, the wraparound deck offers plenty of room to unwind, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and take in the beautiful surroundings. A private washer and dryer adds convenience throughout your stay, whether you're returning from the slopes or spending the day exploring nearby trails and waterways.

The home offers a king bedroom, a second bedroom with a twin trundle bed, and a loft with another king bed and twin trundle, providing flexible sleeping arrangements for families and groups.

Adventure is never far away. Wolf Creek Ski Area is approximately 22 miles southwest, while the historic town of Creede is about 25 miles northwest and Pagosa Springs is roughly 46 miles southwest. Explore Rio Grande National Forest, cast a line in the Rio Grande's Gold Medal fishing waters, or simply enjoy the peaceful beauty of your wooded mountain setting.

This place was great for folks wanting to ride ATV's right from the property as it was described. The inside of the home was clean. Kitchen was well stocked. The stove and microwave were really nice. Provided directions to the home were perfect, with the warning to ignore your personal GPS because indeed it was sending me the wrong direction. One thing that I wish had been better described where steps down into the main bedroom and living room. Removing your trash to a dumpster back in town was strange. Overall good for the price point.

Nice place to stay!

Nice place to stay, clean. Easy to find. The private second bedroom and bathroom is nice when staying with another couple.

Wonderful place to stay

We saw deer in the front yard everyday, the home is cozy and warm and we had everything we needed! Highly recommend this property if you have 4 wheel drive!

Great cabin! Very peaceful.

We absolutely loved watching the deer pass through or just lay up. Lots of chipmunks really enjoyed watching them and some prairie dogs. The view of the mountains from living room was breath taking.

Great view and location

The view off the wrap around deck was unbelievable! We enjoyed easy access to town, yet a feel that we were off the beaten path. Had everything we needed!

South Fork getaway

Cleanliness and local management was not to a normal standard and was biggest drawback. House location was good with a nice view of hills out living room windows. We had deer come by almost every day. Wifi connectivity was good.

Serene mountain home

Really nice place! We enjoyed the outside decks. Saw lots of birds, chipmunks, & a deer. Cable TV was a must for watching the Olympics!

Comfortable - as presented

I chose this property for the spacious living room, a decent sized kitchen and the view. All lived up to my expectations. Diana, the property manager was responsive.

Deer, stay & ski

We loved the beautiful mule, deer nestling up to the birdfeeders, just outside our breakfast window each morning, staring at us while we stared at it. Beautiful sunrise and sunset, overlooking the hill, sloping down to a white expansive mountainous view. Very comfortable setting, super well equipped kitchen And work even able to watch our beloved Celtics and Bruins over beer and pizza dinner.

Overall a good stay

The property is as advertised. We only had three people so the fact that one of the bedrooms was not accessible from inside the house was not a big deal for us but I would not want young kids in that room. The only complaint I have is that the showers have little to no water pressure at all.

Alpine mountain top cabin!

Brought my family for a ski trip to Wolf Creek and stayed at this amazing cabin. The cabin location was great, very close to South Fork Colorado. It was exactly what we were looking for to getaway. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed for our week’s stay. There was plenty of space and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked as we cooked meals two of the nights we were there. Really nice patio with a great Grill! We will be back next year again with family and friends, and would love to stay here again. Highly recommend to stay here, or near South Fork! We made some great memories!

Great outdoors

We would book this cabin again. We loved the space and we enjoyed it thoroughly. It had more amenities than we expected. There was plenty of heating throughout the whole house and several cooling fans you could move where you needed them. Wonderful cross breeze through the home windows were screened made it very enjoyable. We had some great wildlife around us. The deers chipmunks and lots of birds. The Blue Jays were just gorgeous. Thank you for share your home!!

However---shower in main house doesn't work and you had to go to the other building to shower. Mice on kitchen counter eating food, chewing on bags of food. Critter under main bedroom all night long scratching. Lack of wash cloths. Back door does not shut properly.

This is not the experience we want for our guests. Our local team has acted promptly: the shower head was cleaned, a new filter installed, and deterrent placed to address the mice. Extra washcloths have been stocked in both the add-on room and main house, and the back door’s difficulty is due to carpet height. We appreciate your input and hope to offer you a much better experience next time.

Awesome cabin and view

There were 7 family members in our party plenty of room for everyone including the 2 dogs. Perfect location 1 mile from the Rio Grande where you can fish from the bank. Short distance into South Fork . Cabin is roomy with very comfortable furnishing. Kitchen is well equipped. Nice covered deck with grill and seating. The front deck has a beautiful view. Kids and dogs enjoyed playing on the large property. And of course we had s'mores using the firepit. You can't find a nicer place to stay in the South Fork area. Highly recommend and the host was great communicating with us during our stay.

396 Deer Creek Rd, Southfork Co.

The Good - the house was well stocked with most things you'll need. The Bad - the house is situated in a draw so there's not any yard or view. The parking needs improvement. While we were there it rained most afternoons and it was impossible to not park in mud and track it into the house.

We loved this house!

The house was actually bigger than we expected - we got the extra space thinking our kids (16 and 13) could have individual space but instead they were infatuated with the spiral stair case and wanted to stay in the loft area. My favorite was the wrap around porch. Perfect for reading, having morning coffee, or sitting and talking. The owners had a mason jar of bird seed in the kitchen so I put some out and befriended a chipmunk - who came back every day for more. :) Lots of birds and some pretty wild flowers in the side and back yard area. Everything you could need was in the kitchen! We loved the decor in the living area! Books and games to play were available which was nice.
