Secluded renovated farmhouse with large (16x8m) private pool /grounds (0,6 ha)

Thanks Cerith we hope to welcome you back at Le Cireysou soon

Thanks for this amazing review. we are glad to hear that you had a fabulous time. Come and visit again soon

Very happy to hear you had a wonderful time. You are welcome to return any time!

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the large private pool and terrace. We also find these aspects most appealing. We have renovated the house in a natural style that is in keeping with its nature form and believe this “rustic charm” is one of its many attractions.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay with us. We appreciate your openness, and we deeply regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. We are sorry for any discrepancies on the photos provided. We fully understand the importance of accurate representations of the property. We are constantly replacing various fixtures, fittings and smaller items which means the photos may sometimes not be an exact image of the replaced item. Our aim is to always provide an honest and transparent representation to our guests. Regarding the maintenance issues, we took immediate action to address these concerns. Our maintenance team works diligently to ensure that the pool area is properly maintained, and any necessary repairs are carried out promptly. There is always a rapid turnaround of guests on a Saturday and we are somewhat dependent upon departing guests informing us of any damage that has been caused so that we can immediately rectify it. We want all our guests to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing environment. As for the location of the toilets and the distance between the swimming pool and the house while we understand that these aspects may not be to your liking, we have found that all previous holidaymakers have appreciated the separation between the pool and main terrace area, allowing for the distinct spaces to be enjoyed without one infringing upon the other. Regarding your comments regarding cleanliness we find it very difficult to accept these claims, especially given how dirty you left the property. We can honestly say we have never found such a mess being left behind by our guests! We have never received such feedback from any of our previous guests and have been using the same cleaner for several years and all of our guests have been very complimentary. Unfortunately we do not control the summer temperatures. The summer of 2022 was exceptionally hot in France, resulting in warmer than usual internal temperatures in houses across the country. It is clearly indicated on our website that there is no AC system, we apologize if this aspect caused discomfort during your stay. Perhaps a modern 5 star hotel would be more suited to your needs than a restored centuries old farmhouse in future. Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you may have experienced. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify areas for further improvement.

We are very pleased you enjoyable our secluded and peaceful holiday home particularly the large private swimming pool.

Dear Douglas thanks for your message and for the rating: 4 stars means that you did enjoy your holiday. The satisfaction and the enjoyment of our guests is our upmost concern, And you are right Le Cireysou is a lovely old house ideal for families who love outdoor space, We do apologise as you were unlucky. The guest before you ripped open the liner of the pool and it was very difficult to fix properly before your arrival. Also our filtration system uses a salt machine for the comfort of the skin and health reasons. Unfortunately salt means rust for the pool ladder. This will all be fixed during the winter when a new liner (and ladders) will be fixed. Same for the interior of the house where the flooring is going to be changed.

we are striving to always improve the property and give our guests a memorable experience. Many of our guests like you like to come back

Nous serons ravis de vous y accueillir a nouveau. Vous avez ete des locataires charmants

Thanks Emmanuel , it is true that the large garden is very pleasant and ideal to play family games

Always glad to have people like you return.

Many thanks we are so happy you enjoyed your stay and delighted you have decided to return again this year! Indeed the house and facilities are ideal for families with young children and we are glad you enjoyed everything that we provide.

We are always appreciative of customer feedback as it is certainly one of the best ways to ensure we please as many people as possible. Pleasing everyone 100% is never possible so our approach first and foremost with Le Cireysou is to treat it as our home and we have renovated and furnished it in a way we feel is the best way for the old farm to be enjoyed. We visit many times during the year and have set it up in a way we believe is optimal. We have been very careful to preserve its old charm and characteristics whilst benefiting from all the luxuries of modern living. We truly believe all of the choices we have made add to the experience. Regarding the specific points raised below: 1 - all bedrooms have wardrobes, chest of draws and bed side cabinets - the rooms are large and this gives a feeling of space and freedom, much needed in the hot summer months. 2 -We have just upgraded the main family bathroom with a large walk in shower - check out the new photos! 3 - We always aim to respond very timely, but we also travel at times and this was the reason for the delay on this occasion, we can always be contacted by cell phone in case of urgency 4 - We find in today's internet driven world everyone is very self sufficient in this respect and has their own ideas on where they want to go, shop etc but we are always willing to provide our our personal recommendations if required, but we do not provide these unless asked in order to allow people the ability to make their own discoveries and choices, which is part of the enjoyment of holidaying in a foreign country 5 - Due to the potential legal risks we have taken the decision not to provide pool equipment and to let people decide for themselves what they believe is suitable for them as this is very dependent on the age of the party members, which often varies from 3 months to 80+! 6 - Well you are holidaying in France after all! We speak English and can always be contacted if required. 7 - Indeed the summer traffic on the small local roads can be busy at times. France is after all the most visited country in the world and a lot of the tourists seem to like the Dordogne for obvious reasons. We always recommend you leave very early for day trips and make a full day of it and return late in the evening to avoid the heaviest traffic on the roads.
