Wood beams climb to the peak, the fireplace throws warmth across the whole space, and everyone ends up gathered there eventually, whether the day was spent on the slopes or out on the trails. The fully equipped kitchen opens to it all, so whoever's cooking never misses the conversation.

The two queen bedrooms carry that same drama into the night, each with high peaked ceilings, rich wood beams, and mountain views from bed. The third bedroom handles the rest of the crew with two twin beds plus a twin-over-twin bunk, an easy fit for kids, friends, or a full family trip. The cabin sleeps eight in all, with one full bathroom featuring a shower and tub combo.

Out back, the trees take over. Ease into the private hot tub as the forest goes quiet and the stars come out; the night skies up here are some of the clearest around. It's a setup few A-frames can claim, a true front yard and back: open mountain views on one side, towering pines on the other, so you can pick your scenery by the hour. There's ample parking right at the property, plus an EV charging outlet on site.

And the location earns its keep in every season. Bear Mountain's skiing and snowboarding are minutes away in winter. Once the snow clears, that same short drive covers hiking trails, the golf course, the lake and marina, and the Big Bear Alpine Zoo. This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
