We are from the area and grew up going to this lake. This is a family home with a cabin atmosphere (with all that entails!)
The inside of the house is set up for kids- there is a great public park a 3 minute drive away, a football table, board games, and lots of children's books.
As adults we love the lake views and how quiet the area is.

This is a very quiet road on Lone Star Lake- we've seen baby deer in the garden and if you watch long enough, the local crane will visit the dock out front. There are turtles and if it is your thing, you are welcome to take a go at pulling up crawfish.
The lake has a lot of vegetation in summer which means lots of fish and wildlife (though less helpful for boating and swimming). There is a public boat launch a 3 minute drive away if you want to get on the water.
