Waterfront Home with Pier Lake O' the Pines - Acorn Timbers

(Update: We have just added a video tour of the property that can be found at the end of the photos.)
Acorn Timbers is a lake front vacation rental on beautiful Lake O' the Pines. Fish, swim, and dock your boat at on-site fishing pier. Complimentary canoe, paddleboat, and 2 kayaks are provided for your use. Shop in historic Jefferson or enjoy the casinos in Shreveport. Or just relax and enjoy the sunsets, deer, and birds like our piliated woodpeckers. All you need to bring is your food and clothes.

We also have Acorn Timbers apartment across the drive in a separate building that is also available for rental. .

Very well cared for older cabin, all the necessities for comfort are there to cook, clean up, etc., even dog toys too. There is no TV in the largest prime bedroom but it is on the 1st floor. There is a shared dock to use but to get to the waterfront, or shoreline is not easy for those that may have balance and/or walking issues. We enjoyed tons of fireflies at dusk from the deck along with an eagle, osprey, cardinals, a friendly geko, and pretty lake sunsets too. The hosts were very caring and friendly.

Upon arrival, everything was smooth and easy. The house and the property were and had been kept clean and neat.The view from the dock is amazing, whether you are an early morning person or waiting to see the sunset. The host are very welcoming, very helpful for making sure you know where everything is in the area.Did not take my boat this time. Fishing was amazing off of the pier, lots of catfish and bass.Looking forward to our return tripGary and Shelia Hammond

The inside is a different story. the stairs are a danger to everyone. to get to the back bedroom upstairs you have to go through the first bedroom! I’m sorry if your weren’t happy with the accommodations. This is an aframe house and this is how it was set up when we bought it and can’t be easily changed. I thought all of this information was given on the site. We are normally at home, but we’re out of town to help with new grandbaby when you came.

What a great experience! I brought my son to meet family that lives in Hughes Springs. We used the kayaks, the paddle boat, and swam a ton. We brought a trailer with 4-wheelers and dirt bikes so that we could ride on family land. When I left, the pin that held my trailer hitch to the truck broke and the host helped me fix my trailer. What a relief! I would have been stuck for a while if it weren't for him. My trailer was literally in the middle of the street and it would have blocked the entire road for at least an hour. The host acted like it was just another Tuesday. Blessed to have such great hosts. I would recommend this location to anyone looking to have a relaxing weekend.

What a beautiful place. So quiet and peaceful. This was a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend for my family. Peaceful fires and night, lots of deer coming by to say hello,and a great dock for fishing. We will definitely book again in the summer.
