Welcome to our charming guest suite, perfect for a peaceful and comfortable stay. Located in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. This private suite offers a relaxing retreat while being conveniently close to all local attractions. Your family will be close to everything in Vancouver and North Van. 1 km from Highway 1. Very close to downtown and the cruiseship terminal. A few blocks from New Brighton Park and the open air pool (open in summer). Walking distance to the PNE.

The house is a 1930 character home, surrounded by trees. There is no guarantee that you will not see birds, bees, butterflies and other crawling pets. There are 2 floors above the suite. You will hear foot steps. Please book ONLY if you are comfortable with this.

Tidy self contained unit with everything you need for a short stay, in close proximity to Vancouver city. Host was very friendly and helpful.

space is as advertised! Great area of Vancouver, easy access to where we wanted to be. the host Brian was very communicative and kind.the listing accurately men t ions that there is noise from the household above. it wasn't noticeable at all til early morning as they started their day. not a complaint as its a very quiet lovely neighborhood, safe and very friendly neighbors. house is well appointed and sounds like water running was normal living. just recommend wearing earplugs if you're a light sleeper. my friend said it was mostly concentrated over the main bedroom where I was, and less so over the sofa bedroom/den.bottom line it was super convenient for our needs, and I have no notes

The unit was clean, very convenient location. Brian our host was most accomodating. The washing machine and dryer were great. One complaint was the pillows that were very flat.

Very easy to check in, and was a very clean and quiet space. There was a big deep bathtub to relax in after long days in the city which I really appreciated. Really beautiful quiet neighbourhood & quick access to transit. Thanks again Brian!

Great spot, beautiful neighborhood right near a bus station that takes you straight into town. I was unfortunately sick for most of the trip but the apartment was very comfortable as I recovered.

Location was ideal for going anywhere. Hosts were super. Love the strolls along the waterfront. Lots of coffeeshopd on E Hasting to enjoy along with restaurants too.

Nice, quiet place. Very good neighbourhood. I was nice to be able to sit in the garden ( a bench or chairs would be aporeciated). Brian was super helpfull.

We had a pleasant 4-night stay at Brian’s place. The unit is located in the basement below the main house on the street level (shown in the cover photo), which wasn’t clear from the listing.The photos also suggest there’s a separate couch in a living area in addition to the two bedrooms, but we realized the “living area” is actually the second bedroom with a sofa bed.The unit was minimally stocked, but Brian was responsive and provided anything we needed when we reached out.Overall, the home is in a lovely, family-friendly neighborhood, and we enjoyed our stay.

As with all reviews, YMMV; other travellers' circumstances and preferences won't be identical to ours.Communications with Brian were smooth, cordial, and polite, which I appreciated.I think this property would be good for up to a weekend-long stay, esp. for 1-2 people. We found it tight for 7 days, for 3 of us.The sofa bed was fine but no coffee table meant it was difficult to hang out in that room together unless it was on the bed. In the "main" bedroom, it was awkward for 2 people to share the bed, positioned as it was in the corner, with only 1 bedside table. The pillows were lumpy, too.It was extremely quiet here; sometimes the dog next door barked but it was a friendly sound and didn't bother us.Things were clean and tidy; the interior is a little rough around the edges, which we didn't mind, but there were more spiders than we expected. In front, webs were woven every night between the trees; we had to break them to get to the street.There were only 3 bath towels 1 hand towel for the bathroom; no face cloths. The bathroom is small, and the towels didn't have a lot of space to dry out properly everyday so they did get musty unfortunately.The kitchen had 1 tea towel and there weren't quite enough utensils to make cooking (beyond stovetop meals or reheating or toasting) feasible. For example, there was no paring or utility knife, only a small chef's knife; and there were no baking pans at all.These items are easy to fix tho; hope it's done for the next people :)

Thank you Sandra. My take on your rating and comments - I would give a 3* or below rating to a property, if the host was informed and did nothing about anything you brought up during your stay. I was informed of nothing inspite of asking you how things were going. Even though I was not in Vancouver, I could have provided solutions (except the spiders, which I mention about in the description of the property). I appreciate your feedback. Thank you. Brian
