We are centrally located in the heart of East Vancouver in the Hastings Sunrise neighbourhood. A short stroll to Commercial Drive - 'old world' Italian cafes, boutiques, restaurants, craft breweries and the East Village - a burgeoning, hip scene with great bars, restaurants and shopping.

More about the space:

Our basement suite has been completely renovated with radiant in-floor heat in the bathroom and new Scandinavian-inspired furniture and flooring. Cozy and warm in winter and cool and light in summer!

Located on a quiet, tree-lined neighbourhood in the heart of East Vancouver, our unit is a warm and inviting retreat perfect for a single traveller or a couple.

Private entrance and private outdoor sitting area. Please note: guests do have to walk down a few steps to access the door to the suite.

Ceiling height: 6'4".

This 1-bedroom space features a firm queen bed with a Bloom mattress topper and plenty of pillows for a restful night’s sleep.

The bedroom also has a large walk-in closet offering plenty of storage space for luggage, coats etc.

The kitchen is fully equipped with essential cookware, utensils and dinnerware; everything you'll need to prepare all your meals. The dining area has a small dining table that seats two, perfect for enjoying meals or working on your laptop.

The bathroom is clean and modern with radiant in-floor heat and a full bathtub with shower. Fresh towels, and essential toiletries are also provided.

Laundry: Access to the washing machine and dryer in the main house may be arranged upon request and for a small usage fee which includes laundry soap, softener and sheets.

Guests must meet our minimum age requirement of 25.

Please note: my husband and I and our rescue dog Lula live upstairs so normal, day-to-day sound transfer can be expected.

We had a great stay at this property. It was very clean and modern and close to many amenities. It also had a private outdoor space to enjoy! The hosts were great and very responsive. We recommend this accommodation and would stay here again if back to the area.

Slight hiccup with new system which the Hosts corrected quickly. Place was perfect size for us, quiet & comfortable. It was central to explore Vancouver, BC in all directions.

The suite is cozy, inviting and well-equipped. It is nestled in a safe and quiet residential neighbourbood that has a park nearby. The hosts responded promptly and we very much appreciate that Sylvia accommodated our request at check-in.

The place was small but well furnished—more like a hotel suite with a full kitchen. We chose it for the location and price, and both were excellent. We didn’t really explore the neighborhood, but the park across the street looked nice and stayed busy while we were there. It’s a great spot if you’re planning to visit Stanley Park or Granville Island, or if you want to take a scenic drive up the Sea to Sky Highway.The hosts were friendly, hospitable, and easy to reach throughout our stay. We’d happily stay here again.

Everything was very clean. All the small amenities like coffee/tea/ even reuseable shopping bags were there to get you started! It was a great space for me and Sylivia and Boyde were very nice and efficient. Thank you!

This place exceeded my expectations. The owner was so thoughtful! Reusable bags, umbrellas, books on things to do, typed out suggestions in a binder for things to do and places to see… The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in, in a long time. Parking is easy, great location, and it’s SO ADORABLE.

It would be great if more dishwashers pods and trash bags were provided. Also, it would be great to include that using the washer/dryer is 10 per load in the property details. Other than that everything else was good.

It is mentioned that laundry is available for a small fee. Additionally, most guests don't leave a mountain of garbage and recycling after a 6-day stay. As mentioned to the guest, we try to limit the amount of plastic bags used especially for shorter stays. That being said, I brought an additional bag down for this guest when requested.

Excellent place to stay and the neighborhood was quiet! The suit has everything you need! The public transportation was a few blocks away and easy to navigate. The hosts were quick to respond and friendly!

I have lived in Vancouver my entire life and my husband is originally from Victoria, BC but has spent the majority of his adult life in Vancouver. He is a music educator and Taiko drummer and I work as a Voice Artist and Director. As an avid mountain biker, my husband can tell you exactly where to hike and bike if you're an outdoor enthusiast. I love cooking and eating great food and drinking delicious wines and can offer recommendations on local eateries.

We can be hands-on or hands-off depending on your needs. We live upstairs and do our best to keep noise levels to a minimum but some day-to-day sound transfer can be expected. We are centrally located, close to Commercial Drive and the Hastings Sunrise area but on a quiet street where you can enjoy a good nights rest before heading out the next day to enjoy the surrounding area, downtown Vancouver or the North Shore mountains. The space is immaculately kept and cleaned and super cozy in Winter and lovely and cool in Summer.

Clinton Park across the street, free street parking, Wi-fi, NETFLIX, shared laundry (upon request and for a fee of $10), 15 minute walk to local craft breweries, 20 minute drive to the North Shore mountains, 1.5 hour drive to Whistler mountain and village. Affordable, clean and comfortable accommodation in the heart of East Vancouver.
