You'll enjoy the tranquility and beauty of Nantucket when you vacation in Madequecham Village. Our vacation home is located on 2 acres of land which abuts Nantucket's conservation property. Enjoy the natural beauty of Madequesham as you walk along a sand path to one of the world’s most beautiful beaches located less than 1/2 mile away.

This home is spacious, comfortable and private. The first floor opens to a sitting area and family room which leads to 4 large bedrooms. Three rooms have comfortable queen size beds and while one room accommodates 2 twin beds for your kids. There is a conveniently located mud room, laundry room and powder room to use when you get off the beach and need to wash your towels and bathing suits or just freshen up. Enjoy a beautifully landscaped yard, relax on the porch, read a great book, or just enjoy being with your friends and family.

The lower level leads you to an entertainment area where you can watch a movie or sporting event on a 60” flat screen TV, play a game of ping-pong, or relax in your secluded garden. Adjacent to this area is another large bedroom with queen size bed and full bath.

The upper most level opens to a bright, sunny living space with soaring cathedral-beamed ceilings and lovely country kitchen and dining room. This gourmet kitchen is well equipped with granite counter tops and all the amenities of home. Relax in this spacious living room where you can overlook the ocean and Nantucket conservation land. In the evening you can relax watching your favorite show on a 60” flat screen TV, listen to your favorite vocalist, or just snuggle on the sofa and read a great book.

A spacious master bedroom has a king size bed and private luxurious bathroom is located next to the living room. There are French doors which lead to the deck from the master bedroom, dining room and living area. Enjoy a glass of wine or refreshing drink on the deck where you can grill and enjoy your meals outdoors looking over the ocean, watch the most stunning sunsets, or view the most amazing stars at night.

This home is perfect for a large family or great friends vacationing together. It's beautiful and immaculately maintained. There are also bikes for you to use and explore all of Nantucket's bike paths and beautiful beaches. You are welcome to use the beach chairs and lounges located in the garage. If you enjoy an outdoor shower, there is one available for you outside the garage studio.

We had such a wonderful stay at this property in Madequecham! The home was spacious, clean, and well provisioned, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing family vacation, including a crib for our littlest one. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, while still having inviting spaces to gather and spend quality time together. We especially loved the front lawn for the kids to run, the outdoor space/furniture to relax, and beach sunsets. Edna was friendly and responsive, providing recommendations and clear instructions. We would absolutely recommend this home to other families looking for a special Nantucket getaway!

Loved the quiet beauty of this property!

We had a memorable week at this gorgeous home! We had a group of 10, and there were bikes for everyone! Well-stocked kitchen, plenty of beach/bath towels, and other amenities!! And the sunset views were mesmerizing. The owners were friendly, and made the rental process very easy. It was our first time using VRBO. A wonderful vacation!

Madaquecham Beauty!

Best rental ever on Nantucket! Owners went above and beyond to provide every amenity in this beautiful appointed home. We loved having breakfast while enjoying the views. The house had ample room for two families with teenagers. They had their own space which made everyone happy. There were plenty of bikes for all of us which was an added bonus..Private location but still close to all Nantucket has to offer. We can't wait to go back to this hidden gem!

Excellent in every way

My large family has been renting in Nantucket for many years and this home ranks right up there with the best of them. House felt very clean and new. Any minor issues that came up were resolved quickly by the owners who were easy to deal with. The best feature of the home is the location. A 15 min walk (5 min bike ride) down dirt roads to what is one of the quietest and most beautiful beaches in Nantucket.

Just Wonderful!

What a lovely place. We've been vacationing on Nantucket for decades, and this is our favorite rental home.....in fact, I've already committed for next summer! The size is perfect for a large family, the amenities are plentiful (bikes, beach chairs, towels, etc.) and I particularly like how well cared for the property is. Proximity to the beach is wonderful, and access to the bike paths, Siasconset, and town are convenient. Edna and Richard are very pleasant and accommodating owners who take an obvious pride in their home, and I hope that all of their vacation renters will take equal and respectful care of this fine property.

Beautiful Nantucket Home

We enjoyed a family vacation (6 adults and 5 children from 10-17 yrs) at this beautiful Nantucket property. It was the perfect size for our group! Edna and Richard were great hosts, and did everything they could to ensure a great experience. Edna was proactive in helping with any questions we had and checked in periodically to make sure everything was going well. There are lots of extras, including beach towels, bikes for all of us, helmets, beach chairs and toys…even two surf boards! The house was in a great location…near one beach and close to other beaches along the south shore. We also had great recommendations from them on restaurants, fish vendors, etc. I highly recommend this property for a large group of people!

New Home with All the Amenities!

We stayed for a week in August and loved the privacy of this gorgeous home. The house is brand new, pristine and filled with all of the modern amenities: flat screen TV's, gourmet kitchen with commercial appliances, finished basement, great bathrooms, etc... The property is very private, providing a relaxing place to return after a day at the beach or shopping in town. It is located well off Milestone Road, so there is no street noise. We were also thrilled that the rental came with approximately ten bikes of various sizes and all of the beach "stuff": chairs, umbrella, sand toys and the like. We've always stayed near town on our previous visits to Nantucket. Now we've discovered a whole new way to enjoy the island!

Excellent accommodations

Beautiful well maintained property in secluded location. House is very well laid out with master and great living space on top level, 4 bedrooms with two jack and jill baths on entrance level, and another bed and bath on lower level along with a ping pong table and large TV viewing space. Convenient half baths for guests on top two levels. 20 minute walk to beach is secluded and lovely - especially early in the morning when the sun is rising. Easy to relax at home with croquet and evening fire pit. Bikes also available. Ubers aren't cheap but recommended for trips to town given the difficulty of parking. Stop and Shop 10 minutes away along with airport and easily accessible by car.

Tranquil, private home that comfortably held my family

This two acre property is bordered on all four sides by dense vegetation. The driveway has a couple of curves so the house is not seen from the road. This gave me peace of mind that my grandchildren could play and seek bunnies without my being concerned. The layout of the house with multiple sets of two ample bedrooms joined with a bathroom was perfect for two of my grown children and their families. The house was delivered to us very clean. Everything in the house worked. The road to the house is a dirt road and brings you back to the sea. The beach is not well traveled and provided waves for surfing on some days. Once we saw a seal very close to shore! The garage had many bikes, helmets, surf boards and more. All in great condition. Both Edna and Richard were responsive, welcoming and reasonable. Edna called to help us with an issue. The ping pong table was a big hit on a rainy afternoon. This is a home worth considering. We highly recommend it. P.S. There are fresh herbs in the secluded garden! I

Great family home in a small quiet neighborhood on the south end of the island. The neighborhood is surrounded by protected, undeveloped land which made for beautiful views on the second floor (partial ocean view). There is plenty of livable space across 3 floors (including basement). The home is well equipped with kitchen utensils, beach chairs, bikes, beach towels, washer/dryer, etc. 1st floor: 4 bedrooms on the ground floor with jack/jill bathrooms and small gathering area. 2nd floor: primary bedroom w/attached bath on the 2nd floor with the kitchen and living area. Open space with a balcony that is great for having a coffee or drink with the aforementioned ocean views. Basement: the 6th bedroom is in the basement which also features a large playroom and ping pong table.Overall: very well designed & spacious home perfect for a family trip. The yard is expansive, our kids played soccer, baseball and football outside. The hosts were super responsive and helpful. I would definitely consider renting the home again. Recommendation: you are considering, I’d rent a car so you can get into town, sconset, etc without taking an uber everywhere.

Great Spot for a Family Reunion in ACK!

Thanks for a great stay! House absorbed our extended family group well with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms and well equipped kitchen. Highlights for us included the large yard which was perfect for kids and the proximity to uncrowded beaches. Host was a great communicator, checking in a few times to make sure our stay was going well.

Amazing

This was one of the best houses we have stayed in, the beach was so private, house was clean, owners respond fast and are so nice. The beach had waves but the house had provided boards, and we had a lot of fun. The house had bikes for every guest and we never got bored staying here. I would definitely recommend this house and would definitely come back again.

Wonderful home

This home is spacious and immaculate. Nicely furnished. Lovely grounds within a short walk to a beautiful beach. Owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommend on your next visit to Nantucket.

Superb

Having vacations with family on Nantucket for almost 50 years, renting each time, we recently spent two weeks in the above home. It was our third consecutive year there. It is very well built, adequate for all my family and guests, convenient to a not busy beach, and close to the large Stop and Shop store, the Nantucket Bake Shop, the airport and nearby gas station. The home is well furnished and supplies everything necessary including recreation equipment. The owner is a pleasure to communicate with, and provides comprehensive instructions about the house and recommendations for restaurants, etc. In summary, my family hated to leave, wished their stay was longer, and hopes to return next year.

Perfect home for our family

This Madequesham house was the perfect home for our family and friends. We were 10 people and everything this house offered was as described. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. The home is located very close to town, beaches and bikes paths. We had a wonderful time! I recommend this home to other people interested in vacationing on Nantucket.

Perfect for our family of 6

We've rented VRBO properties around the world and were very pleased with Richard and Edna's Nantucket retreat. We have four children in their 20's and the six bedroom layout was perfect for us. We enjoyed the private beach down the sandy lane and biking to Sconset (the number and quality of biking options was over the top). The home is impeccably clean, roomy and well decorated. Absolutely no issues at all. Many thanks to Richard and Edna for making their wonderful location available to the VRBO universe.

Amazing Vacation Home!

Our family has been visiting the island for the past 6 years and have been very fortunate to have stayed in some very nice places. As soon as we walked into Richard and Edna's home we were impressed! The layout of the home, the furnishings, and overall decor was perfect for our large family! Despite being on the island and a very short bike ride, drive, or walk to the beach we found ourselves spending a lot of time just relaxing, and playing games on the front lawn enjoying the peace and quiet and beautiful breeze. Our younger children, big kids, and even the adults in our group really enjoyed jumping on the bikes they provided every day and venturing off for rides around the neighborhood or to the beach. And of course, the downstairs recreation area with the large screen TV and ping pong table provided many hours of fun every evening! To top it all off, Edna was fantastic to work with before and during our rental. We have already booked our return visit next year and look forward to many more memories being made there!

One of the best in nearly 50 years of visits!

Having vacationed on Nantucket Island in rental homes for almost 50 years, this visit was one of the very best. Over these many years, we have noticed expensively built homes often with very shoddy construction. This home was beautifully planned for multiple guests, and finely built. A succinct impression of this vacation was expressed by a family member who called after a very long trip back to California, stating that I should rent this home again, immediately, for next year's vacation. The setting was secluded, and very convenient to an uncrowded beach. Additionally, the location is quite close to town and importantly, the bakeries and supermarket on the outskirts of town. It's also just one mile from a major bike bath leading to town and Siasconset. We all thought that the home was very well equipped with high quality appliances, ample cooking and eating implements, and multiple bicycles. It would be difficult to imagine anything needing improvement. And in addition to all this, the homeowner was extraordinarily helpful and gracious in telephone and email communications. Highly recommended!

For many years we vacationed either on Cape Cod or Martha's Vineyard until one day our friends convinced us to take a day trip to Nantucket more than 20 years ago. After exploring the entire island on bicycle, Nantucket became a favorite place to spend summer vacations with our family. Unlike Martha's Vineyard, we were able to go to all the beaches and not worry about beach tags, parking, or going to a 'private' beach. All the beaches were spectacular and had plenty of room for our kids to play.
