The property was as listed. Upon arrival we had to request a clean for the upstairs bathroom and the yard. They immediately came out and cleaned the bathroom but never cleaned the yard - dirty diapers in the front and rear of the home. While I appreciated the immediate response to the bathroom, we should have been informed of their coming to the property. We can back and they were inside cleaning, not cool. They did a good job and left. The property also has way too many stairs for the 65 community, it was difficult getting groceries to the 2nd floor kitchen. Overall we liked the location and we made the most of our trip.

Great house! We loved being able to walk or take the golf cart to the beach. Getting in the gate was easy. Good distance from the grocery store, seafood market and pickup for the bridge run.

This VRBO is absolutely wonderful. The house is very clean, tidy, and very chic. The owner is incredibly thoughtful and communicative. Also, the proximity to the beach is excellent. Excited to come back again soon.

Wonderful stay! Close to the beach and golf cart made trips to beach for my 79 year old mom convenient. Home was spacious and porches made mornings and evenings outside relaxing.

12 years at Wild Dunes

We stayed at this property several years ago and we enjoyed once again! Pelican Bay is the best location for a family with the pool and places to ride bikes or throw a baseball.

Most importantly communication with the host was great! Beth was amazing to work with. The property itself was where our problems stemmed from. The property was dated. Renting inside of Wild Dunes and NOT affiliated with Wild Dunes limits you to amenities, beach access points. Property was advertised as 1 block to the beach but we found this bad information. I called Wild Dunes and asked if I could purchase some sort of day pass and was told this is not an option. Golf cart was also old and pretty worn out. Lights did not work and if you try and park at one of the “authorized “ beach access points, you are in danger of being towed. I got a warning ticket. Kitchen is on the top of three flights of stairs. Groceries were a chore. I want it to be said Beth (our host) credited our account for 200, which I gladly shared with the other people who were splitting the rent with me. We had three different plumbing issues. However the plumbers were pretty quick and courteous. Perhaps the cleanliness and the musky smell was coming from the end of a long, hot summer with little to no downtime for staff.

Great Vacation!

We had a great time at the property! The only negative was the condition of the front steps going up to the house. Felt like it was a major tripping hazard.

Fantastic Family Beach House in Wild Dunes

Our family enjoyed our stay at 43 Pelican Reach. Great house for extended family—a little worn, but the location is fantastic. Just across the street from beach access so very walkable and use of a golf cart makes it even quicker to get there. We loved the use of the community pool as well. If you’ve never stayed in Wild Dunes, you should give this place a look.

Great Location

House had close beach and pool access. Golf cart made it easy to carry chairs and tents to and from the beach. Quiet neighborhood on a cul-de-sac. Loved the screened in front porch with the two fans. House had a great beach vibe with the decor.

Well-equipped updated home

We had 7 adults in the 4 bedroom house to celebrate an anniversary. The house layout was great for us. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking big meals. Loved the easy beach access & location. Hope to return!
