Classic old-style Tahoe log cabin, close to Sunnyside Restaurant and Marina. Quaint and cozy for a relaxing Tahoe getaway! Only 800 square feet, this one-story home is located in a quiet setting and is perfect for a couple's getaway or a small family. Nicely decorated in country-modern decor, this home has natural pecky Cedarwood paneling, tub/shower combo, and cozy furnishings throughout. Fireplace has a gas insert, living room has L-shaped couch, DVD player, desk and stuffed chairs. Master bedroom with King bed and vanity dresser, second bedroom with two twin beds. A wonderful weekend getaway, but very basic.

NOTE: There is NO BBQ at this property.

Wonderful stay!

Our group of 4 cousins had a wonderful stay here. The cabin is easy to find, surrounded by a beautiful forest and only a short 15min drive to palisades. Inside is very cute and cozy, and a perfect get away to relax in. Bedrooms get a little cold since the heater is in the living room, but we just left the bedroom doors open while we slept and it was fine. Would definitely go back again!

Plesums House in Tahoe

West Shore is the best shore--honestly. But don't tell anyone. ;) The house is so close to many amenities and beaches. There's so much to do and see. We had a great time. The house is a good size for two-to-four people with one bathroom (the shower head could use improvement--hard to get the shampoo out of your hair with the low pressure). The king bed is comfortable but the fitted sheet kept coming off in the middle of the night because it's older and the elastic is shot. The coffee machine could use an upgrade too--old school Mr. Coffee I think. And the bear precautions (very necessary) are a bit unsettling, but you get used to it. When all is said and done, this is a really nice house with a couple quirks, but in a great area and we recommend it.

Not much time spent, as spent time participating all the activities of Lake Tahoe. Property was neat and clean.

Needs TLC, but still so cozy.

So many positives! Great location, cute rustic cabin, quiet neighborhood… They could step it up to excellent by fixing a few things and replacing the towels and sheets. The master sheets came off the bed each night:/

Cozy cabin

Charming cozy cabin in quiet neighborhood. Great to bring bikes and enjoy the scenery and smells of Lake Tahoe. Fun to be close to Sunnyside and little market for cookies and sweets. Great location.

DELIGHTFUL COTTAGE

Wonderful cozy cabin, great neighborhood. Lovely kitchen with table, well stocked & loved the dishwasher! Super comfy sofas & TV, my granddaughter couldn't stop watching "Lassie"! Comfortable beds, very homey decor. Easy drive to downtown & close to many restaurants. We will definitely stay again!

Very comfortable and cozy

Had a wonderful time, it was super peaceful and cozy. I never encountered a Bear Fence before so that was a bit of a learning experience. Was close to the lake and little town area and a quick drive to Tahoe City. Beds were very comfortable and Kitchen had all the essentials.

House was great! Comfortable and location was perfect. Close to several very good food spots and close to downtown Tahoe City. Also an easy drive to Palisades ski resort.

Good spot

Nice and cozy, very effective for a ski vacation. Keep the heater on strong overnight as there is no heating in the bedrooms.

Even better!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second time at this cozy little cabin. Our first experience was lovely and this time was even better! Comfortable, clean, with all the basics and then some. They now have some nice mugs, too and the gas fireplace and internet also worked perfectly (last stay - those were my only tiny gripes - haha!). We were very happy with our stay and look forward to booking again soon. Perfect for the three of us (my husband and I and our six year old)! Easy drive to Palisades and Alpine and a nice quiet neighborhood. Thank you Hauserman for another great experience.

Another Great Stay

This was the second time my kids and I have come up to Plesums for Thanksgiving. The place is small enough to be cozy and give us a good sense of togetherness, but had everything we needed to cook up a full thanksgiving dinner! The location is perfect - you can walk to Sunnyside, Firesign, and the West Shore Market, but it's far enough away from the main road to be nice and quiet. We love Plesums!

Plesum's cabin

It was cute and comfortable. The bedrooms were as described. The kitchen was up to date and clean. We enjoyed the gas fireplace. We would stay there again.

We had a relaxing visit to our favorite place....West Shore!

We hiked, swam, tried the very shallow Truckee, but road bikes instead and read lots of good books. It was a perfect size cabin for my husband and I, and close to the market and a swimming beach. LOVE TAHOE!

Girls Weekend

Great place to stay. Great location, walkable to Sunnyside. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood with walking paths. WiFi worked fine, place was clean and instructions were clear. Would stay again!

Good place to stay, but needs a deep cleaning.

I really liked the cozy cabin. It had a great feel and located close to everything. I wish it had been cleaner, there were several cob webs that needed to be cleaned before a daughter would sleep in the room. The shower curtain needed to be cleaned or replaced as well. I also wished there was more toilet paper. There were only 2 rolls for 4 people to use for a 5 day stay. So be prepared to buy to bring your own. I wish there were some spare bed sheets for the kids room as they needed to be washed again to get the smell out before my kids would sleep in the beds. I know these are small issues we had, and other than that, this place was great, welcoming, and I would recommend staying again. My kids loved the singing bass on he wall and how it really felt like a cabin in the woods.

Reviewer Comments: After 10 days in lodging in Calif national parks, this cozy cabin in quiet neighborhood was a welcome change and a great home base for day hikes in the Tahoe area. As expected the kitchen equipment was dated and not as good as at home but overall we were delighted with our temporary home.
