Tahoe City Meadowfront Townhouse ~ Family Getaway!

Our lovely townhouse is an incredible 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath two story home situated on a giant open space meadow near Tahoe City and only a short walk through the woods to the sandy beaches of Lake Tahoe. The Lake Forest Glen complex includes 2 pools, 4 tennis courts and a recently renovated hot tub and sauna. The grounds are incredibly beautiful with many pines, aspens and annual flowers. We are right next to the bike trail that takes you into Tahoe City and along the West Shore or up along the Truckee River. We are close to skiing at Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Homewood; ice skating at Squaw Valley, and lots of opportunities for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and snowball fights!

Ours is a two-story end unit with lots of light and privacy! The master suite has its own bathroom, walk-in closet and overlooks the meadow. Our furnishings are comfortable and represent the true mountain ambiance you desire for your home away from home! There are knotty pine floors and trim, a stone fireplace, a recently redone kitchen with granite counters, hickory cabinets and all new appliances (gas stove, stainless side by side fridge with icemaker and water in door, dishwasher, disposal, etc) full separate laundry room...all overlooking the fabulous view!

We have a flat screen HD TV, streaming DVD player, and high speed wireless internet. Our deck overlooks the meadow and has an all-weather table and chairs as well as a propane BBQ. The deck is south and west facing, so it is great for sunning, entertaining and watching great sunsets. We have a lockable ski locker for all your gear just outside the front entrance to make getting to and from the slopes easier!

This is the perfect place for you and your family to enjoy an easy and affordable vacation; everything you need to have fun and relax is right here!

We had a wonderful summer stay at the meadowfront townhouse! The home was very clean and comfortable, and well appointed with everything we could have needed. The community amenities were great for kids, and the location was a perfect starting point for fun at Skylandia and Tahoe City. We hope to stay again!

We had a wonderful extended weekend. Nice and clean and the back meadow was beautiful. We had bluejays, chipmunks, and squirrels looking for peanuts on the back patio. And saw a couple of bears checking the trash cans on the nightly route. Very entertaining.

Enjoyed my stay

The unit was fully stocked, location was perfection, and contact with host was perfect. Though the unit was mostly clean, it felt like it needed a really good deep cleaning. Wish we had another week.

Tahoe Getaway

This was the perfect place for our group of two couples and one kid. Super cozy and warm and a great location. The kitchen was well stocked. The field in the back was great for playing and also just to have a nice view. We would definitely stay here again.

Sweet little townhouse

This townhouse is very functional with its layout and proximity to the pool and lake. It’s a great location in North Lake Tahoe with easy access to the town, Truckee River, city of Truckee, hikes, etc. The townhouse is clean but is older. It had everything we needed for our trip. One tip - if it’s a hot week in the summer, bring fans for each room. It usually cools off at night but our week was really warm so the house didn’t cool off as much. A fan would’ve been helpful.Great stay!!

Perfect for a ski vacation.

This condo was the perfect location for heading to Palisades Tahoe to ski for the day. It was a 10 minute walk to the shore of the lake. Restaurants and the grocery store were a short drive away. We enjoyed the community hot tub after spending a day on the slopes.

Perfect North Tahoe location

this rental is fantastic! the pictures don't do it justice. it's perfect for a large family or two small families with kids. the beds are comfy, the mountain decor cute, and the kitchen/dining room perfect for eating in. it backs onto an open meadow which was fun for playing in the snow. the reverse commute to alpine/palisdaes makes it easier than truckee. there's a safeway and CVS just 5 minutes drive away.

Lake Tahoe Summer Vacation

This property has an ideal location for the entire Lake Tahoe region. It is conveniently located to MANY great hikes, destination spots, sandy beaches, restaurants, shopping, etc. The townhouse community has a nice pool, hot tub, pickle ball courts, etc. Convenient grocery shopping at Safeway in Tahoe City. Lots of wildlife in the meadow... coyotes, foxes, ground squirrels, blue jays, and BEARS! Very exciting to see the bears (although they ultimately were headed to try to get a snack from the dumpsters). Whiile we were very pleased with the location, the property desparately needs a thorough deep cleaning and we were very disappointed in that regard. Hasn't seen fresh paint in 20 years. Carpeting is beyond filthy and needs replacement. Cobwebs on sad old draperies. Dryer vent was clogged and prevented proper/safe usage. Kitchen amenities were very good except for kitchen sink faucet (no water pressure). The hallway shower faucet did not function properly. The shower in the master bedroom was way too small and so dirty we did not want to use it. It got hot during our stay, July 20 - 27, and there are no box fans or ceiling fans. Fortunately, overnight temperatures got into the 50's, so sleeping with the windows open made it tolerable. Nearby Sugar Pine Bakery was outstanding. Za's Restaurant very good. Tahoe City Brewing Co. Restaurant very good. Rosie's Cafe excellent.

Family get-together

Conveniently located, clean, woodsy theme decor, sufficient parking. Main part of family gathering was at a nearby rental large home; this was perfect size for a family needing quiet lodging.

Cozy Townhouse in the snow

This was our second stay in this cozy family oriented Townhouse for a trip to the snow. Lots of space in the house for our family of five. Kitchen is equipped with anything you need to make a hot breakfast or dinner. Big family room for a game night and a fire. The owner is very responsive to any questions or issues. The house is located very central to anything you need (safeway, pizza, bakery, etc) and close to lots of ski resorts and family oriented snow play areas (Granlibakken, North Lake Tahoe regional park for sledding). Kids loved to play in the big snow field right behind the house. We enjoyed our stay!

Clean, well stocked, roomy, great location!

The property had everything we needed. It was spotless, had all the amenities you could need, TONS of space, and is a great location if you’re going to ski resorts in the west side.

Excellent support by owner, great location

Came out from UT for a ski vacation and had epic snow—so much we couldn’t ski! Patty was so wonderful and responsive. We loved the location, and the fact that the HOA was super attentive to snow clearing. Our favorite “extra” was the peanuts left to feed the jays, who knew every morning they could come fight for some and I could take pictures. Comfortable bed and well stocked kitchen. Highly recommend!

Nice location, great owner.

We enjoyed the location and the property is in a great location. As mentioned the internet was slow and only worked about 30% of the time. (So you won’t streaming anything). For the current cleaning fee cleaning fee the property isn’t nearly clean enough, for a third the price I wouldn’t mention it.

Our family lives in Santa Barbara, CA, but we've spent time in Tahoe every summer for the past 20 years. After so many years of renting vacation cabins, it's always been our dream to have our own place at Tahoe, and now that dream has finally become a reality! Now we can spend so much more time at the lake, and we love to have other people enjoy our place when we can't be there!

We've always loved Tahoe City because it's so charming and there's so much to do there - movies, restaurants, shopping, beaches, river rafting on the Truckee River, bike rides, skiing/snowboarding, riding the tram to Squaw Valley, hiking, etc. We fell in love with Lake Forest Glen when we stayed at a friend's place there, because it was so quiet, peaceful, and beautiful.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

We love the fact that our townhouse sits right on the meadow. We take lots of walks down to the lake or Skylandia Park to watch the sunset or have a picnic. The kids love the pool, sauna and hot tub. Just sitting on the back deck looking at the meadow and smelling the pine trees feels like a fabulous vacation.
