It is a nice comfortable home with plenty of room. Very well stocked with whateveryou need. Kids loved the paddle boards and nice beach next door. It was nice to be able to rent the pontoon for the weekend at a reasonable rate.

Just about right

Was just about everything we expected. Was a nice getaway. It is a really nice lake. Cabin suited our needs.

Great Family Spot

This was a wonderful family-friendly spot. Nothing felt too. precious to be used and everything was straightforward.

Good times

We had a great time at this house. We enjoyed the pontoon, kayaks and paddle board. It was a fully stocked kitchen with grill outside which made it easy to cook. Lots of games to play with (indoors and out) and movies to watch. Just wish we could have caught more fish. Also, owner was very accommodating and easy to contact with quick responses if you need anything.

Family/fishing

Caught a good amount of pan fish and some large bass. Beautiful views all around. House was full of anything one would need but the food. Pontoon was large and nice. Alexandria had a lot of fun to do! Only thing we would change was we could only go on Elk lake and not Lower Elk Lake

Summer vacation

Property was about what we expected. Fishing was poor but the lake is really clear and we had clear sunny skies all week and temps we near 100 everyday. That made fishing tough. The beach is great. Traffic on the road between the house and the lake was busy at times making it a little nerve racking at times because we had 4 young kids going back and forth between the lake and the house. Over all the 15 of us had a great time

Very comfortable lake home vacation for us!

We had a wonderful time here. We had a family gathering and at one time we had 16 people in the house. The kids LOVED the beach which is just a few steps away from the house. It was nice to have a lifeguard on duty also for part of the day. We spent lots of time at the beach! We also did a lot of kayaking. There were lots of games to play and we did need them. We had a couple of rainy times during our stay. The kitchen is nicely supplied with what we needed, even for 16 people. When we need another summer vacation getaway with our family, we would definitely consider coming back to this house. Tim was great to work with. Thanks Tim and Jody

Lots of water fun and indoor games also. It was a hot week. We would prefer central air over window air and fans but it worked. Kids loved the beach area and they caught some fish even in the July heat. Furniture was all comfortable enough and everything we needed was there for us.

Could’ve been great

This house could be great, the location between two lakes is great and close to the beach and good fishing. However, the amount of cleaning that we had to do upon arrival was disappointing. The house has been pretty much run into the ground with no updates on anything. Doors that don’t shut/lock, windows that don’t stay open, etc. Kitchen cabinets so full of stuff that we had no place to unpack our items, same with the garage. Two out of the three boats didn’t work when we arrived, we were able to fix one ourselves and the manager did come out to look at them while we were there. One of the two pontoon boats is in rough shape and needs to be taken to the dump or set on fire. The road by the house has more traffic then you’d expect and cars were speeding down it all week. No A/C unit installed in one of the upstairs bedrooms like it says there is so sleeping a few of the nights was nearly impossible. Overall we had a great time, but the property was not the reason for that. It’s unfortunate because it could be the perfect yearly get away, but in its current condition I would not stay there again and am confused as to how this property can be on vrbo in all honesty.

A great little getaway!

We rented this property to stay while we visited our daughters family/grandkids who also live on the same lake just a few doors down. IT WAS AWESOME! We brought our 2 little dogs and they loved it too! We have learned this is the only way to visit the family and have peace and quiet at night for after dinner adult cocktail sitting by the lake! Thank you Tim, Property Owner/Manager, it was perfect!

Wonderful location

Had a fun time with family. Fishing was good-no walleye, but lots of bass and bluegill. The pontoon was a nice addition! Weather was very good!! Had several nice fires and some spirited foosball! House was a little dated, but comfortable and very functional!!

This place is GREAT!!!

This place was great for everyone. So much to do. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks, paddleboards and the paddle boats. We caught enough fish for a fish fry. We took the pontoon out everyday. I love the set up of the house. A big kitchen with everything you need. Big living room for everyone to relax. We had two dogs and Tim had no problem with that. We will definitely be back. The kids loved the place.

Lake views on both sides of the house.

This interesting multi-level, vintage house was well laid out with four bedrooms on an upper level at one end and the kitchen on the other (main level) making it comfortable for early risers to enjoy coffee and games in the kitchen while others slept in. The owner was very attentive to our needs and called several times to check on us due to the major storm and power outage we experienced. The house was very well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I couldn't believe all of the spices provided! There were lots of water toys: two paddle boats, two paddle boards and three or four kayaks plus many life vests. There's a well-marked off swimming beach adjacent to the boat launch plus tons of board games, a dart board and foosball table. The house sleeps 11 people so it's great for a large family.

The location is great except for being close to a busy road.

Renting the property was easy and the owner readily available. We were disappointed at how dirty some of the areas of the house and property were. We enjoyed a lot of time on the lake and in the yard playing games and relaxing.

Great Vacation Spot

Great week at Elk Lake. Lots of bedrooms, well stocked kitchen, tons of water toys and attentive owner. Beach close by and great fishing right off the dock. The only reason not 5 stars for us is the road bisecting the property (kids in group ages 3 to 8), which owner disclosed but LOTS of big trucks going through and house is closer to highway than pictures would suggest. Also, upstairs carpet needs replacing. The deck and view to Lower Elk Lake is beautiful!

Fun-filled Memorial Weekend

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at one of Tim’s properties. Excellent host. Very accommodating. Great communication during the check in process. Over-all a great holiday weekend. Fun times and we caught fish 😊

Perfect place for a family fishing trip.

We absolutely loved our time on Elk Lake. My family has been coming to this area of Minnesota for almost 20 years for our family fishing trip. We used to stay at a resort, but now when we come back we’ll be staying at Elk Lake. Tim kept us in the loop about the best fishing spots on the lake and was a quick text away for any questions we had. Great spot. Thanks again Tim!!

Just wonderful!

We stayed here with our 12 children and the accommodations were just perfect! The house has plenty of sleeping options, the living room was a great place to put your feet up for evening coffee and the overall ambiance made for a memorable experience. We especially enjoyed all of the kayaks, paddle boats and stand up paddle boards-there was a constant swirl of color and activity on the lake. The pontoon was also thoroughly enjoyed with leisure riding, fishing and using the boogie board! We'd highly recommend this location.

Fun and relaxing

Plenty and fun things to do on the lakes. Relaxing with friends and family. The beds and couch need to be updated. Other than that it was great!

Situated between two lakes this property doesn’t lack in views, that’s for sure! It’s an older place, but has everything you need!
