Peaceful setting in the woods with all the comforts of home. Wake up surrounded by the serenity of nature, where you'll encounter a variety of wildlife...deer, elk, birds, rabbits, in your own front yard. Enjoy a leisurely hike, right out your front door, or just a few miles away you'll find trails to challenge the most avid hikers. Trout/Salmon fishing, rafting, soaking in the hot springs, skiing, biking all within a lovely 1-25 mile drive. Fine dining and entertainment all near by. Don't forget to ride the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Train! For winter sports fun, it's just a short drive to Durango Mountain Resort or Wolf Creek. But if your idea of fun is just hanging out at the cabin and taking a nice winter walk, you can hike or snow shoe in the freshly fallen white stuff, then run inside to warm by the fire and sip hot chocolate! Ice skate at Chapman Ice Rink or experience a sleigh ride in Durango. Phenomenal sledding hills are located in our mountain community, at the nearby lake and park. Experience the peace and serenity of our little piece of heaven. You'll no doubt be planning your next visit, before you even begin to head back home! Unfortunately, I am allergic to dogs and cats so we do not allow them.

Wonderful experience at this VRBO gem in Bayfield! Very clean and well stocked, check in and checkout processes were super easy. Host (Jan) was attentive to our needs and easy to communicate with. First night we had 4-5 deer in the backyard not 10 feet away from us, just beautiful. Saw numerous other deer and turkeys in front yard throughout visit.Would definitely stay here again, has everything we could need and quite cozy!

The house was exactly as we were hoping it would be. Very comfortable and the kitchen was very well supplied with what we needed. Would definitely stay in this house again. Had a blast!!

Wonderful place near Bayfield!!

We came to Colorado for a volleyball competition. We were close to all of her games and our family of 6 had a wonderful, relaxing time in this very comfortable home!

Very well set up property they do the little things ( paper towels,spices etc) .

Perfect getaway

We really enjoyed staying in this place,the cabin was perfect, just rigt for me and my family, everything was nice and clean plenty of room, the location was good i would definitely recommend everybody to rent this cabin, thank you very much

Home away from home.

This was our second stay at the cabin and we truly feel comfortable staying here. It is very clean, quiet, and private. We will stay here again.

One of the best I’ve stayed in!

Amazing winter vacation

Beautiful log cabin in the Colorado Mountains. The cabin has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We even went looking for land to build a cabin just like this one. We had the best experience with this rental.

Perfect place to stay!

This was our second stay in this comfortable mountain home. It is attractively decorated and extremely clean. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the deer and birds after our busy days exploring the Vallecito and Durango area.

Beautiful property.

This property was everything we were expecting and so much more. Beautiful yard and decks, well furnished, well stocked and the host was quick to respond to any questions we had. We would gladly stay here again.

Excellent Vacation

This property lived up to its ratings. It was very comfortable, deer and turkey everywhere. We saw bears as we traveled into Durango. Very quiet location too. The 4 of us had a great time.

Quite with wildlife

We loved our stay. It was so peaceful and the deer and turkeys just walked about. The beds were very comfortable and it was so quite that we slept well. The cabin had everything we needed and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Great place!
