I’m Lily Duran, the maintenance coordinator for the Beach Management company that is in charge of Verano Eterno. I am writing this response to acknowledge the following: • The water system was running perfectly according to the housekeepers at the time they completed their work and prior your check-in on Saturday night. • The maintenance team was informed by our guest services manager of the water issue which was reported by one or more of your party on Sunday morning at 10 :00 am and at 12:25 pm it was reported by maintenance that the water came back on and was working normal. • We had constant communications with several of your party regarding fixing every maintenance issue that came up. • The water situation is not an ongoing problem in this property as there is a back up tank, this was a specific and unexpected issue caused by a bad switch that caused the irrigation system to run off the reserve tank during night resulting in the low water pressure you experienced. We have fixed this and we trust something like this will never happen in the future. Kindly, Lily Duran

Respectfully, Marinus was told of the “inconvenience” of the bathroom leak into the bunk BR upon check in and it was communicated by Marinus at the time of check in as “no big deal” and that they only needed 4 of the 5 BR's any way. I was told by my property mgr (PM) that his team also offered to have the leak fixed within the next day also and was told it wasnt needed. The a/c was repaired w a new compressor within a few hrs of the initial complaint. AC's die regularly in CR given the dust, the heat, the constant use and the many power surges that occur because of regular power outages. As per my PM, the refrigerator issue was actually caused by the Marinus' group because they failed to shut the door all the way and thus needed to be defrosted. The last complaint from this visitor was the regular outages of the internet. The electric in Nosara/Guiones goes out approx 1x per day for a few minutes and about 1-2x per week for an hour or more depending on the situation. When theres no power, obviously the internet also goes out. He wrote to me in his exact words that “he expected to be reimbursed” I have No issue with reimbursing anyone w just cause. Any reasonable person when approached by a stranger w the words “I expect you to reimburse me” (2x in successive emails) can appreciate the fact that it was denied. When i did deny him the refund, he threatened to write a bad review. Clearly that is his motivation behind leaving an inaccurate 1 star review. Perhaps if I was approached on Day 1 or Day 2 after check in about the inconvenience of the room being unusable (the leak was promptly fixed upon his check out) vs 5 days after check in, I might've lent more credence to his issue. I also did offer to have a crew go to the house the following day (he emailed me at 9pm Thurs night) and have the leak fixed which he chose not to have done (again that would be my answer too but it was offered as a solution). Re: construction - Playa Guiones is literally the HOTTEST town in Costa Rica. There's construction everywhere in town and the construction near me isn't that loud (its 3 plots of land away). you can hear it, but its not intrusive like it would be if it were next door My PM (who’s approx a 65 yr old male) even complimented me on my emailed responses to the Marinus. There will soon be a review posted by Brian Dwight who stayed the 2 weeks prior to this visitor and he LOVED the house and the house's location so please read his review. thx for reading :)
