Private Cozy Year Round Cabin On Little Spider Lake

***Starting with the summer 2021 schedule, D2Cabin is moving to a Friday to Friday rental week. This only affects June, July and August. All other dates are available for any check in day with a 3 night minimum.***

D2Cabin is located just west of the Northern Highland State Forest in Arbor Vitae which allows plenty of public hunting opportunities. Caywood Shooting Range is about 1 mile away. Private snowmobile access to the groomed snowmobile trail. This cabin has a living room, 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, bathroom. Outdoor deck, fire pit, grill and private lake access across the road. A screened gazebo allows bug-free outdoor dining. Private pier with boat and oars provided. Large wooded property with no homes on either side. Satellite TV and Wi-Fi included. Natural gas heat, super insulated to keep cool in the summer. Basement with shelving for coolers, fishing gear, snowmobile equipment,etc. Washer/dryer included for your use at no charge.
This cabin has been totally remodeled with your safety and comfort in mind as of May 2014.

Awesome as usual!

Had a great time on our annual fishing trip to the D2 cabin. Debbie and Dave are awesome to deal with and provide a comfortable and clean cabin with all the amenities our group needs. Will definitely be back next year!

Great stay

Nice lodging and clean all you need is provided. Great neighborhood and lake it is very quiet. A plus is a fish cleaning station in the woods near the back of the house.

Cozy cabin

Awesome place to stay. Location is great with access to the lake. Great ice fishing. Owners are wonderful and was there for anything we needed. Place was spotless and has everything you need. Lots of wildlife. Would definitely stay there again.

We loved ut!

Debbie and Dave are great hosts. We loved the cabin. It was near the hiking and biking trails we like. We plan on going again next summer.

Fabulous place to enjoy northern Wisconsin!

A friend and I spend three nights at this lovely house and enjoyed every minute. The house is beautifully done and well-equipped. Super clean. Good access to the lake with a nice rowboat. We wish we could have stayed longer!

The Epitome of Relaxation!

Super clean & cozy cabin with comfy beds. Great, low-key location with nearby access to good coffee & good food, as well as a number of beautiful & well-maintained trails for hiking, x-country skiing, & snowshoeing. Warm, welcoming owners who are truly dog-friendly. We're planning a Fall visit already!

Wonderful Place to Stay

If you read the previous reviews you'll notice a theme. Dave and Debbie are great. The home is wonderful and homey. All of the applause and kudos are well deserved. The home is easy to get to and is centrally located to enjoy all of what the north woods of Wisconsin has to offer. We enjoyed a delightful week.

Winter retreat

The cabin is very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. Love the new Ninja Blender, could use some sharper knives. The location is midway between Minocqua Winter Park and Winman ski trails. The bathroom and shower are wonderful. It is very convenient to have a washer and dryer in the basement and a nice entry way to take off and store coats, boots and equipment. The cabin is perfectly set up as a good place to stay when pursuing outdoor activities.

Extrodinarily clean and peaceful!

I would highly recommend a week at this cabin. I could not believe how well everything was kept up inside and out. It was a wonderful place to take my little boys. They had so much fun catching fish off the dock and using the row boat. We had a campfire and ate in the gazebo most nights. It was the perfect northern adventure. The location is only 10 minutes from town so we did a lot of fun adventures during the day as well. The owners were extremely accommodating and helpful. It was the best vacation I've taken in years.

Labor Day Weekend

This was our third summer back at D2 Cabin. We always enjoy staying at Dave and Debbie's cabin. It's always clean, organized, and has everything that we need. However, this time the weather was unseasonably warm. I was wondering how it would be without A/C, but it was actually pretty cool inside! We kept the windows closed during the day and opened them during the night and it was still comfortable. We're looking forward to our next trip up north next year.

Felt like home

From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were home! First of all, the whole house is super clean and uncluttered. It has all the basics and everything we needed. There was even room to store our things in the closets in the bedrooms and the bath room. The water pressure was great and and hot. We loved the manicured backyard and spent many hours sitting outside. We didn’t have any problem with mosquitoes. We did some bike rides, which was easy from the property. Not even a mile away is the Northern motel and café, which serves breakfast most mornings. Even though the dock is across the street from the house, it was easy to walk to and we enjoyed paddling on the lake with the loons and eagles. In the middle of the lake is a buoy which marks a shallow sandy spot and is fun to get out and swim. Fishing was good, plenty of northern and largemouth were caught.

Excellent, love, Dave and Debbie super nice!!

This is our first time staying at D2cabin, and we were super amazed. Dave and Debbie were so helpful and super nice. The cabin was clean, clean, clean. We could not ask for anything nicer. Did I say clean, the cabin was immaculate. :) The cabin has everything and is super modern and comfortable. Love sitting on the deck and drinking coffee in the morning, or relaxing in the evening while the girls made smores over the campfire. The lake was so nice and clear, and so much fun. Love that the owners are dog friendly, and we were able to bring our two girls(dogs) and they had fun along with my daughter and her friend, we were in the lake multiple times a day. Cannot wait to come back next year. It was a great week of fun and relaxation. Thank you so very much!!!

Clean, secluded and the gazebo was wonderful! The bed was very comfortable but the living room furniture could be improved.

This was a clean, cozy, and modern cabin right across the street from Little Spider Lake! We really enjoyed staying at this property, and the hosts were friendly! The location of the cabin was perfect, since it's just outside of the touristy Minocqua area! Would recommend this cabin for groups of 6 or less!

Awesome cabin

The d2 cabin has everything you would need. It is very clean and efficient. We had a wonderful time and have already booked for next year. Debbie is a great host and is easy to reach if you need anything. Love this cabin..

Relaxing retreat

This property is located on a lake, just off the highway, and has all the amenities to make your stay comfortable. We had a 2 day fishing trip and the property accommodated that with a nice fish cleaning area. Debbie was happy, smiling, and a great host!

We love Little Spider Lake for the beauty and convenience of the area. We enjoy seeing the deer, fox, loon, eagles, ducks and fish on a regular basis. A short ride to Woodruff or Minocqua offers unique shopping and dining opportunities.

Most of the time, we enjoy staying by the lake to take advantage of the relaxing atmosphere but also enjoy being able to walk, bike, swim, boat and hike. We are also on the snowmobile trail so winter is a fun time too.
