We had a mini family reunion there with 10 adults and 7 kids. The property had plenty of space for everyone to connect and to have privacy at night. The property is split into 4 separate units, but we loved the ability to all retreat as desired. Gorgeous old woodwork and beautiful grounds. The property is remote - but we loved that. Short drive to Sassafras lookout point (highest point in SC) with a fantastic overlook and photo op. 30 minutes through country roads to Brevard NC. Great host communication. Very impressed with the cleanliness of such an expansive property. Great WiFi and easy to use TVs. We hope to utilize this property again in the future. Don’t hesitate - book and make some lifelong memories around the fire pit with plenty of wood on site. And while my wife was hesitant about Nancy the Ghost - all the kids had a fantastic time “pranking” the grandparents and it gave the property so much character.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Shamrock House! We had a family reunion and the property accommodated 18 of us comfortably. I can’t get over how lovely the property and the cabins are. The listing is accurate and the price is phenomenal. The location is also pretty close to some local attractions (Table Rock, Sassafras Mountain, Caesar’s Head, Upstate Zipline…) which made it great for out-of-towners. It was so relaxing, and although there is reliable WiFi, it was a blessing that we did not have any cell service. This property made our weekend extra special. We didn’t want to leave!

The Shamrock house was amazing! Everyone put their phones down and it was all about being a family this weekend. We definitely are honna come back. O hope we did everything yhr right way.

This is great place for a large group with plenty of beds throughout the property. The main house provided a large living area and wrap around balcony for a large group to gather. The host was responsive and helpful.

The description of the property was exact. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, and the property was beautiful. We walked the woods and the field on the property over a dozen times with the dogs and played a few games of horseshoe by the flowing creek. Definitely was a wonderful girls weekend! We will definitely be back!

A nice quiet place for events and gatherings, just make sure you know where you’re going with no service on the mountain it can be tricky to find your way. The owners are super friendly and fast to respond if something goes haywire. Definitely would recommend and plan on coming back!

Property itself is awesome but all three houses are in need of cleaning and and fixing there is gaps everywhere in the houses a lot of the furniture is wobbly and needs to be replaced. All in all 2.5 stars from me

Great stay

We had a great, relaxing stay. Everything was very clean- considering the location being in the mountains surrounded by creatures of all sorts. Communication was top notch. Would definitely recommend!

Relaxing fun

Quiet and relaxing setting. Close to many of the activities we wanted to do. Plenty of bathrooms and space.

Awesome

A great weekend. We did an amateur ghost investigation and enjoyed a nice place to relax. Morning coffee on the porch was a blessing.

Great for a group

We stayed with a group of moms and daughters (all ages 5) for our annual retreat. This place had a lot of rustic appeal. We felt the kitchen (particularly the trout house one) was very well stocked. The girls had a great time exploring the grounds and have all requested that we go back to this location again!

Family reunion

The property is big and well kept. It was very clean and nicely groomed. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. We would recommend it for anyone, especially a group like ours!

Very good with big families

Great communication with host at all times. Great location to trails and view point. Very clean and well maintained. We were 17 people and everyone had a great time.

Loved It

Haven’t made it home and already miss this place. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this perfect getaway spot. So much to do on the property and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you Nancy for being friendly!

Shamrock House, Sassafras Mountain

Interesting historical property. Beautiful tall trees all around the house. Many great hiking trails and other outdoor activities close by. Remote location, but we found groceries and other shopping in Brevard, NC (about 25-minute drive north).
