Incredible place

The property was great. Extremely peaceful and serene at night. The location is good too, with it being close to Rome. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Positives: fantastic property location, we hadn't realised quite how isolated it was. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, and well equipped, as was the large pool and the garden area, which were maintained to a really high standard every day. It made a great base for either chilling out and enjoying the fantastic pool, or exploring Rome / local towns. The photos are all accurate. The estate is beautiful and peaceful, with amazing views. The hosts were helpful providing great local information before we arrived.Negatives: these are small points but personally I would have preferred to have seen them more clearly stated on the listing, to reduce the element of surprise upon our arrival. 1) Air conditioning - is available but only in the lounge and master bedroom. So during our very hot week, our kids were disappointed to have much hotter nights than we did, despite the fans in their bedrooms :-( 2) Privacy - on this private estate we didn't know that there is also the main & much larger property, 100m away, separated by a small copse. Whilst you are not directly interrupted, you also don't have the complete privacy that we were expecting.Overall we had a fantastic time here - thank you Isabelle and Patrice

Delightful

What a beautiful little find this place was. The photos don’t actually do the place enough justice. It is beautiful. Set in rural countryside but close to shops and just a 20 min train ride to Rome. The hosts were just wonderful. They were so kind and approachable and extremely helpful. We could not have asked for better hosts than Isobelle and Patrice. And their English was fantastic! Highly recommend the place.

Sehr großer Pool etwas unterhalb des Wohnhauses gelegen. Die Vermieter haben ihn nur kurz am Sonntag genutzt, ansonsten hatten wir den Pool für uns. Pool wurden jeden Morgen gereinigt.

Familienfreundlich

Das Haus war sehr schön und sauber. Schwimmbad war sehr gut und genug groß für eine Familie. Der Besitzer des Hauses war sehr freundlich, nett und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist allgemein ruhig und gut, für den Strand muss man sich um die halbe Stunde Zeit nehmen.

Genoten van comfortabel huis, prachtige en rustige omgeving vlakbij het indrukwekkende Rome

Met ons gezin (2 volwassen kinderen) genoten van dit comfortabele huis. Ieder zn eigen badkamer, heel fijn! Het huis heeft een eenvoudige inrichting, maar alles is aanwezig en bovendien schoon. Wat ons betreft het belangrijkste. Heerlijk terras aan de voorkant waar we vaak zaten en het zwembad op 1 minuut loopafstand. Bij het zwembad heb je een fantastisch uitzicht op de omgeving. Het ligt bovendien tussen de wijgaarden, olijf- en kiwibomen. Het huis van de eigenaar is vlakbij, maar door begroeiing heb je totale privacy. Eigenaar Patrice is zeer vriendelijk en betrokken bij zijn gasten. Via app en telefoon goed bereikbaar. Als je wat nodig hebt, wordt het geregeld (bijvoorbeeld de bbq). Het contact met Isabelle is ook geweldig. Snelle reactie en erg vriendelijk. Omgeving is prachtig (kratermeren, leuke stadjes en natuurlijk Rome), treinstation in Campoleone, binnen 20 minuten in Rome, geweldig! Ook met de auto Rome in geweest, Patrice gaf geweldige tips. Als je 's avonds in Rome wil zijn is het met de auto prima te doen. Bakkertje naast de locale supermarkt is geweldig. Zij maken ook heerlijke pizza's. Absolute aanrader. Tip aan de eigenaar; voeg wat foto's toe zodat de setting van dit mooie vakantieplekje meer wordt benadrukt, want het is prachtig gelegen.

Landhausidylle vor den Toren Roms

Ich und meine Familie mit 4 Jungen zwischen 17 und 9 Jahren haben den Aufenthalt über drei Wochen in diesem wunderbaren Gästehaus des großen Landgutes sehr genossen. Die Ruhe von Zikaden begleitet, Privatsphäre, das Panorama über die umliegenden Weinberge, Kiwiplantage und Olivenheine in die Ferne der Hügellandschaft hat mir am meisten gefallen. Meine Frau hat insbesondere die Nähe zu Rom genossen, die wir mehrmals mit der Bahn von dem 10 Minuten entfernten Bahnhof in Campoleone besucht haben, Fahrzeit nach Termini 20 Minuten. Meine vier Jungen nutzten bei jeder Gelegenheit den außergewöhnlichen Pool, den wir meist unberührt vorfanden. Genauso liebten sie das glasklare Wasser des Albanosees, der unser Ausflugsziel Nummer eins wurde, in 15 Minuten ereichbar. Genauso schön war der in mind. 40 Minuten entfernte Meeressstrand südlich von Ostia bis Sabudia. Das Vermieterpaar lebt im Landhaus nebenan. Sie waren sehr liebenswürdig, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das gut geflegte Gästehaus hat eine sehr angenehme Raumaufteilung mit 3 Bädern neben jedem Schlafzimmer und einem großen zentralen Wohn- und Esszimmer im Anschluß an die Küche. Die große Terasse bot uns zusätzlich viel Platz zum Relaxen, Frühstücken oder Abendessen. An unseren italienischen Kochabenden erfreuten wir uns an der gut ausgestatteten Küche. Um diese zu perfektionieren, wäre ein Messerschärfer und eine Rührliesel für Teigzubereitung optimal. Außerdem wäre eine Klimaanlage in jedem Schlafzimmer optimal statt nur 2.

Oase der Ruhe mit tollem Pool unweit Castel Gandolfo

Wir haben 11 Nächte im Juni 2023 hier verbracht und können es jedem empfehlen, der auf der Suche nach einem ruhigen Feriendomizil ist.. Das riesige Anwesen ist eine Oliven- und Weintraubenplantage doch man findet auch Orangen, Birnen und Limettenbäume hier. Die Landstraße ist ca. 600 Meter entfernt und es führt eine schmale private Straße zum Anwesen. Ein Supermarkt und Obststand erreicht man nach 2,5 Km. Der Pool ist einfach großartig mit tollem Blick in die Landschaft. Rom ist 40 Km entfernt und in ca. 40 Minuten mit dem Fahrzeug zu erreichen. Wir raten dringend zu einem Besuch von Castell Gandolfo, der Sommerresidenz des Papstes mit vielen sehr guten Restaurants. Leider konnten wir unseren Urlaub hier nicht wie geplant verbringen, da unser kurz nach der Ankunft schwer erkrankte und wir jeden Tag zum Tierarzt und zur Tierklinik nach Rom fahren mussten. Wir möchten uns an dieser Stelle ausdrücklich für die Hilfe von Isabelle und Ihrer Familie bedanken, die mit uns zum Tierarzt gefahren ist um zu übersetzen und uns sehr freundlich geholfen hat. Gerne hätten wir nun, wo es unseren Hund besser geht, noch einige Tage hier verbracht und uns nach all den Anstrengungen erholt. Nochmals vielen Dank an Isabelle und ihrer ganzen Familie!

Lieu idéal pour visiter Rome en famille

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille dans cette magnifique propriété à quelques km de Rome. Tout le confort dans la maison et mention spéciale pour la piscine au milieu d’un jardin luxuriant. Merci à Isabelle pour son hospitalité et ses bons conseils.

Top locatie en top verblijf

Tussen de kiwi, druiven en olijven boomgaarden ligt deze oase van rust. Het uitzicht is geweldig en het privé zwembad zorgt voor een enorm gevoel van luxe. Super vriendelijke eigenaren die voor je klaar staan. De ideale locatie om heerlijk tot rust te komen.

Bell’alloggio, spazioso, pulito, con tutte le dotazioni. Internet sempre funzionante. Abbiamo trascorso una settimana di relax e tutto corrisponde alla sua descrizione ed alle aspettative. Ottima disponibilità e gentilezza.

Agréable séjour dans un environnement verdoyant et calme

Nous avons apprécié cet endroit notamment pour l'environnement et le calme. La piscine est grande et bien aménagée. La maison est correcte, un rafraîchissement serait bienvenu mais ce n'est pas rédhibitoire car nous étions toujours à l'extérieur. Un bel emplacement pour rayonner dans le sud du Lazio et proximité de Rome.

Beautiful......

Lovely spacious house, well equipped with use of pool. Set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Owners pleased to help with any problems. You do need a car but the supermarket and gluten free shop are 5mins down the road. Train station within easy reach, 25min into Rome. Beautiful lakes and small towns set in the hills 15-30 drive.

Nice House near Rome

Overall, it was a great stay. Patrice was really friendly and could guide us to nice restaurantes and beaches and other stuff. The House and pool was clean og great. No internet though... (please correct it on the online listing) But, it was a great stay and we had a lovely vacation.

Maison de campagne à proximité de Rome

Maison bien organisée pour profiter à plusieurs de la région. Accès aisé à Rome, Jolis villages de montagnes à proximité et une très grande piscine pour se rafraîchir dans un environnement calme et verdoyant. Patrice apporte des conseils judicieux. Très bon séjour pour nous 6.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property

We were four adoults and two children (aged 7 and 11) from Norway who stayed at Casale S. Giovanni for two weeks, and we loved every minute of it! The house was spaceous, practical and comfortable with a great outdoor patzio where we ate all our meals and spendt our evenings. The pool area and the garden is really beatifull, and so is the whole property that sorrounds it. The owners were really nice and service-minded the whole time. This is truly a little paradice just outside of Rome :) Kari

Nous avons passé 10 jours dans la belle propriété de Mr Jourdan: un régal de se retrouver au milieu des vignes et des oliviers. Mr Jourdan est très acceuillant et arrangeant ,plein de bons conseils; il nous a bien renseigné sur ce qu'il y avait à faire . de bonnes vacances

Très belle propriété

Famille très accueillante, disponible si besoin et au petits soins, sans pour autant être invasive pendant notre séjour. Nous avons passé deux agréables semaines et avons appréciés les délicates intentions des propriétaires pour notre lune de miel. La location est un peu rustique, mais nous la recommandons sans hésiter : ) Très belle propriété au calme parmis les vignes et oliviers.
