Beautiful Log Cabin Situated On Quiet Smith Lake 3 Miles North Of Hayward, Wi.

Lazy Loon was constructed in 2014. It comfortably sleeps 6. There is a bedroom with Queen size bed, loft with 2 twin beds, and a futon in living area that folds down into full size bed. Beautiful handmade quilts cover beds. Full kitchen consists of beautiful Amish made cabinets from hickory. There is a bathroom complete with shower. Cabin is 75 feet from lake with 100 feet of shoreline. Other homes/cabins surround Smith Lake so site is not secluded. Lake bottom is sandy and water is clear which is perfect for swimming. Pier located on property is perfect for fishing or securing your boat. Great fishing right off the pier for crappy, sunfish, perch, bass, and northern. There is a boat launch close by. Motors are permitted on Smith Lake which allows for great boating, skiing, and inner tubing. There is a fire pit located on the property as well as a small weber grill for your use. Firewood is also on the property for your use. Sunsets can be seen from the dock. Smith Lake is home to loons, eagles, and many other forms of wild life. We are located just 3 miles from Hayward where there is great shopping, dining, and night time entertainment. This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway up north.

Had an amazing stay at the Lazy Loon. The lake was beautiful, fishing off of the pedal boat was the highlight of our trip! Lisa was great with communicating, and the place was so cozy and clean! We can’t wait to come back.

We loved our stay! The cabin was just as described. The property was well maintained and sooo quiet. Being only a few miles from Hayward was convenient and my wife and daughter enjoyed the downtown shopping. Would definitely go back to this cabin.

Beautiful peaceful cabin on the lake. Has everything you need to relax. Porch overlook the lake. Very clean and comfortable. The driveway to the home is steep but manageable. If you bring a boat you will need to keep at top of drive or keep at dock which there is a very nice boat landing for access. Enjoyed the area restaurants and lakes to fish. Host was very nice and communicated timely.

We loved our stay at the Lazy Loon! The cabin is clean and comfortable. We had coffee on the porch every morning enjoying the view of the lake and the calls of the loons. Most evenings were spent around a fire. Even though it’s only minutes away from so many things to do, it seemed remote and quiet.

Great Cabin Weekend

Super clean cabin with nice porch, dock, and fire pit. Very comfortable beds. Was perfect for our family weekend getaway.

Communication from Lisa was excellent. The cabin accommodations were great. Beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning located in the loft sleeping area was adequate to keep the cabin at a comfortable temperature. Ample firewood available for bonfires. Recommendations for the cabin would be to have a broom/dustpan available and perhaps a couple more kitchen towels and bathroom hand towels provided. I typically overpack, so we were fine, but might help another traveler. Drawback going in August (following our hot, hot days of summer) were the thick weeds near the shoreline/dock. I would book in June or early July next time to have better swimming area for the grandkids at the cabin. We went to Eytcheson (sp) Park only 5 minutes from cabin for swimming and enjoyed our time there too.Enjoyed using the paddleboat at the cabin and a shoutout on our pontoon rental from M&M Rentals in Hayward excellent experience with them.

Beautiful property with plenty to do at the cabin, and only 3 miles from activities in Hayward. We were pleasantly surprised to have wifi, and a third twin size bed in the loft area. The cabin was perfect for our family (2 adults and 3 kids ages 12-16). Clean, well stocked, beautiful view of the lake.

Nice cabin

Cabin was clean and good location only thing to know is if you have boats on trailer there is not much room to maneuver in driveway takes a little challenge but a great area

Relaxing!

Beautiful property with a relaxing atmosphere. So much wildlife that can be enjoyed right from the back porch. We really loved our experience as a family - making s’mores by the campfire and fishing off the dock!

Smith Lake

Quiet and peaceful property on Smith Lake. Very clean and appears to be recently built or updated. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again.

Another epic Hayward stay

For the third time, Lisa and her Lazy Loon cabin delivered a peaceful and hassle free escape for us, occasional musky hunters. We hooked up and will be back.

So Relaxing!

Beautiful location and perfect cabin! We loved the paddle boat and canoes as well! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the proximity to the neighbors and the higher noise level.

After viewing several properties over several months, we picked the property on Smith Lake and fell in love! We located a log home builder close to our home and began the building process. We love our cabin on Smith Lake. We have fallen in love with the Loons on the property thus the name Lazy Loon Cabin.
